Does it not embrace certain rules like repeatable observations and peer review? If yes, it is a philosophy.

And yet scientists discard the one Book that has more information than any other in history.Originally posted by ransom View PostScience is not a philosophy. It is the pursuit of knowledge.
That puts the lie to their claim of looking at all the evidence.

not all scientists are atheists.Originally posted by The Lord's Sword View PostScientists fail to follow one of their main tenants when they deny the existence of God. They have no morals and are working for Satan to plant seeds of doubt in the minds of good Christians who fear god.

Re: The fatal flaw in atheistic thinking exposed in one simple diagram!
But God's not gonna do that. I wouldn't put it past scientists to try the tree trick. Why would anyone do that? Make up something palpably false and try to get you to believe it. It really is a good job God only tells us the truth, hence why God would not say Mormons are right.Originally posted by Foolish Atheist View PostSo you are saying that if God himself came to earth and told you all that Christianity was wrong and the Mormons were right, you would still be a Christian.
And to support science: If your teacher said it was scientific fact that trees were not flammable and you believed him without testing his hypothesis. Then after 15 years of believing that trees are not flammable you see a tree burning, you should be thinking, wow my teacher was wrong after all these years. But according to your chart you should ignore the fact that the tree is burning and carry on your way thinking that trees can not burn.

Re: the stone henge in Wilts
We know where God comes from.
Hosea 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
I've just got back from a break down in Wilts. My friends there are all a bit odd but I went with them to have a look at the stone henge and I thought "is this the same God from the same place?"
My friends thought so.

I know how your feel Sister KK. But remember that Jesus always looks after His sheep.
You know what I do when unbelievers start tearing into the faith?
I replace their "babble, babble, babble" with Bible, BIBLE, BIBLE".
It's the only way to deal with the confusion of the outside world, dear.
Contentedly Yours,

Your best bet is to see if it is an unsaved piece of trash making the assertion. Adam Ski is at best a person who makes up random stuff about aliens then tries to shoehorn it into the Bible and at worst a deluded, tripping crack head.Originally posted by Kitchen Keepin View PostThis entire thread has frightened and confused me. Re: The fatal flaw in atheistic thinking exposed in one simple diagram!
No, in fact I've run out of paint now but did get a fair bit done last year.
Just on my 3rd book too.
Exodus 2:5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it.10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.
The wee one at that age (3 months) would not be able to see much. In his slime ark there would just be her face, who drew him from the Nile, and her voice. Who was she? Who was her God?
Exodus 2:3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
As Eth said, God has not told us much and we can't see much of what He's made.
Now that we have science we get a clear view of so much more. We know how vast it all is, which stars shone in the Nile and how they were thought of then. Was their science on a par with ours? I think it was. We know what they all say they did & can track back to see: Was what they said Right or Wrong?Originally posted by Mary Etheldreda View Postthat which you can see is only part of the reality of creation
Just like Eth said.
