In 1978, the Cardinals of the Catholic Church needed to elect a new Pope.
The director of the international Mafia approached the Cardinals and said, "I want you to select Karol Wojtyla from Poland as the next Pope".
The Cardinals rebuffed this intrusion into their affairs. Moreover, by tradition, every Pope since 1523 had been an Italian.
The director of the international Mafia calmly replied, "If you do not elect Karol Wojtyla, I will eliminate every Pope that you select until you do elect Karol Wojtyla."
The Cardinals instead elected John Paul I (an Italian).
One month later, he was dead.
The Cardinals became nervous. The director of the international Mafia was something "different". Thus, they followed the Mafia's "advice" and elected Karol Wojtyla as the next Pope.
John Paul II was clean--he never knowingly cooperated with the international Mafia. However, he was a very strong symbol against Communism, one of the main obstacles to the Mafia gaining total control of the world.
By contrast, Benedict XVI, the current Pope, is the first Pope who knowingly cooperates with the international Mafia.
It was only a matter of time before Benedict XVI would help the Mafia to sow seeds of conflict in the world as he has done with this Bishop Richard Williamson, who denies the Holocaust.
