      I think not. Therefore we are NOT they antichrist.

        Wait, you mean that one of you two is actually straight? Who knew, eh? Who would've thought it?

        It is ironic that you use the name Brother "temperance", when you cannot temper your words.

        Let us look at James 3:14-18 (Excuse my non-KJV bible You may translate it for me, if you would like.) What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or Sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Indeed someone might say, "You have faith and I have works." Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to from my works.

        This is of course not saying that faith is worthless, but that you will know who is faithful by their actions. So if we must judge people let us use this as our measurement, since faith is hard to measure because the Al Quaeda have "faith that they will die for" too. That faith is flawed, but believing in Jesus is not. JPII has written many not infallible (when I say infallible I mean infallible like the bible) books. His books are not lies simply because they are infallible. They lead Christians, and anyone who reads them, to a better understanding of morality, God, life etc. He has a book on prayer, hope, Not Being Afraid, etc, but the one I have read is the Theology of the Body. It teaches about the value of a human life and soul, and our responsibility as a society to those who are weaker than us. (The unborn, poor, elderly etc.)
        He is also known for forgiving the man who shot him.

        Writing and Forgiveness are two ways that JPII has inspired the world to be a better place through his actions. I try to do the same by giving money to charity, and serving my students as best I can with a loving heart and fortitude.

        Holiness is trying to be like God, not because we can ever measure up, but because it honors God. We are his servants.

        Would Jesus really want you calling people Pimp???? Gay????
        Is that how God has called you to serve him?
        Wouldn't he call you to love your enemy, and turn the other cheek? Didn't he turn the other cheek by allowing humans, like us, to crucify him? Didn't he choose not to stone the adulteress, but to forgive her and let her go forth and sin no more.

        Jesus loved sinners? He made a tax collector into an Apostle.

        If you continue to use slanderous angry words to convince me that you are right and I am wrong, you will only convince me more thoroughly that I am right and you are wrong. Your words are not appropriate to be used around a lady, and I would never go to a church where people are constantly using such vile words. God is love.

                Well, Whoopi-doo, is that Mehmet Alì Agca? The crime was committed in 1981 and Agca was released in 2000 – He served longer than a normal criminal would served for murder in Italy. If I remember he was then extradited to Turkey to face further charges of murder. Of course, a True Christian would have turned the other cheek as Our Lord said and dropped all charges. Why does this remind me of the compassion of the catlick church at the time of the inquisition, where the church merely averted its gaze from the horror.

                        The position of pope is an office - the office is always filled - one cannot generalize about an office - the office is there. Its incumbent may change but the office remains the same - it is the pope (whoever he is) who is the antichrist.

                        First there is the video. This is not a Baptist production and I feel that it is flawed in one or two of its suggestions, yet, it gives the idea.

                        Next you have already been told of the command by God not to call anyone father other than God. Yet what does “pope” mean? The word itself means “Father”. You can joke as to whether you should call your genetic father, “father” but, whatever else you believe, someone who is not your father should not be called that. Yet the church of Rome’s hierarchy all insist you call them “father” in direct contravention to Christ’s word.

                        Let us look to see what Timothy said about the hierarchy of the church which Christ intended,

                        1Tm:3:1: This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
                        1Tm:3:2: A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
                        1Tm:3:3: Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
                        1Tm:3:4: One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
                        1Tm:3:5: (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

                        How many catlick bishops have a wife? None. How many have children? We don’t know. Why does the church of Rome disobey the word of God? I suggest it is not bothered what Christ said or did.

                        Christ says Salvation is through Him. The catlick church says that it can be through works – Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems may all enter Heaven.

                        What then was the point of Christ’s sacrifice? Who then other than the antichrist would deny this sacrifice?

                        The evidence towards the pope being the antichrist is laid out in books, on the internet and at good protestant churches throughout the world.

                          The more I read the blatherings from the defenders of Mother Rome, the more I'm convinced that something in the death cookies and sacramental wine impairs their reading comprehension. I didn't say anything about what you call your male parent; I talked about the papist priests, like Rast, who want you to address them by the title Father (unless, of course, Rast or another papist fish head is your biological male parent, in which case I really don't need the details).

                          The trinity is the core of what makes someone Christian or not.
                          I agree completely, and there's no room in the Trinity for a "Blessed Virgin" goddess based loosely on Mary and closely on Semiramis.

                            Marliana: "Just because a FEW popes were into gambling and women..."

                            Why, my dear, I do love your subtle way with words. Just because a FEW pillars of a bridge are corrupt, weak, and rotten doesn't mean that the whole bridge is unsafe...WAIT! Yes it does.

                            As your careful words demonstrate, the Catholic cult is spiritually unsound as a bridge with rotten supports.

                            And as you said (with beautifully understated irony) not once in his tenure as Pope did John-Paul demonstrate infallibility.

                            (Actually, no Pope has convincingly demonstrated that -- although some have been satanically clever.)

                            As to the rest, I can only applaud Brother Bathfire. He has convincingly demonstrated that Jesus never intended to found a Papacy, and that the Catholic Church is unbiblical to the core. Bravo, Brother Bathfire!

                              First there is the video. This is not a Baptist production and I feel that it is flawed in one or two of its suggestions, yet, it gives the idea.

                              Let us look to see what Timothy said about the hierarchy of the church which Christ intended,

                              1Tm:3:1: This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
                              1Tm:3:2: A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
                              1Tm:3:3: Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
                              1Tm:3:4: One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

                              The Catholic Church does not say that salvation is through works. Read James again. I will DEMONSTRATE my faith to you FROM my works. Salvation is from faith in Jesus......

                              Your movie gives 11 prophecies, but none of them had the word Antichrist; therefore I am unsure that the beast and the Antichrist are one in the same, nevertheless, I found your movie disturbing, and I will bow out to the wisdom of the other Catholic members of this group to explain Revelations and the error of your movie......... I admit to being unknowledgeable in this area......

                              The Catholic Church DOES NOT DENY the sacrifice!!! I believe in Jesus's sacrifice, and so does my Church. Jesus died for my sins and without that, I am truly dead. Without that, there is NO forgiveness of sins, Church or no Church. Period. No exceptions....
