That's very enlightening, Brother. I had always considered FDR's Raw Deal to be the biggest move towards socialism in the US. However I see now that it was just another step in a much larger trend. Thank God for Ronald Reagan!

There is an element of British influence you may have missed out as well, Thomas Clarkson and William Wilberforce doing large amounts to abolish slavery will have definitely influenced America somewhat. However my knowledge of American history is not that great, some of the people mentioned in the poll probably did more.

Thanks for the summary at the top B-J. I'm not very strong on US history and without your accurate and deft pen guiding my decision, I could have sat there for hours rocking backwards and forwards mumbling to myself trying to work it out.

"Honest" Abe is looking the worst of the lot. Denying somebody's right to wage war on a state and take over because he was following Jesus' Will. Well, I'll be!

Theo is looking pretty Leery too. He encouraged Wicca in modern society. Imagine that, I really had no idea. I knew there was something suspicious about a man who bequeathed the "Teddy Bear" to the rest of humanity.

Good point as always Marshall. It is competently unacceptable for a president to try to cover their controversial election by starting an elective war on a trumpet up enemy. Lincoln is not just a socialist traitor, he's a war criminal. PRAISE Jesus we Republicans will not stand for that nonsense anymore.

I have to agree with the good Pastor. After killing as many Muslims as possible before they kill us and keeping taxes low, the primary job of a US President is precisely to prevent the importation of European "civil rights" and "civil liberties" onto our Christian shores, so we can hardly blame outsiders for this particular mess.

We should remember that William "Soapy Sam" Wilberforce, for all his Anglican and Communist tendencies, was a life-long and dedicated opponent of Darwinism, so at least he wasn't totally committed to the service of the Devil. Clarkson, on the other hand, was Baelzebub personified.

Applauding yourself is pretty selfish. Lincoln started an illegal war, history is all the backup I need. I live in the South, we know all about Lincoln and his rape of our land and his Satanic army(Sherman) and how they pillaged and murdered their way across Gods country.

Dodger's ignorance probably isn't his own fault. The public school system teaches kids that the so-called civil war was about slavery rather than about economics.

Dodger, the south grew cotton, and the north processed the cotton into fabric. However, the English cotton mills were much more efficient -- so much more efficient that they could pay the southern cotton growers more for cotton than the northern mills could, and they could sell the finished fabric back cheaper than the northern mills could.

The southern cotton farmers naturally preferred to deal with the English mills, so the northern mills were having a hard time. Lincoln wanted to put an export duty on raw cotton and an import duty on cotton fabric so the southern cotton farmers would have to deal with the northern cotton mills. THAT'S why the south seceded.

So he starts a war with his own country, illegally, and suspends habeas corpus, runs concentration camps for POWs, sends a General on a death march across the south with orders to level and kill everything, promotes himself as a peaceful man while waging war with the CSA which seceded legally and was a fully functioning nation unto itself with currency, government and army. All we did was kick the Yankee squatters out of Fort Sumter. They were trespassing.

Righteous and true Brother Marshall. It was well know at the time he was an atheist. He made public statements Lincoln rejected the existence of eternal punishment, the corner stone of human morality. Small wonder he became the most blood thirsty president in US history.
