How is the commandment to kill anyone who tries to entice you to worship a different god "following a peaceful life"?

How about the commandment to stone adulterers and fornicators to death? Sound peaceful?

The Bible doesn't say that if your son is unruly and disobedient, you should tell him to move out. It says you should beat him, and if that doesn't work, drag him to the town elders and have them stone him to death. Peace be with you, son, and some fist-sized hunks of granite!

Maybe, just MAYBE, you should read the Bible before you try telling us what you think it says.

Fear in Hell? Hell Hell, Hell. Nothing but the same things over and over and over. I'm going to hell. Still, nothing was explained when I asked, "how does an all good being make evil" I was giving a part from a book - which I had already read - and I got "your going to hell" "We don't take kindly to your kind" Guess I'm of a different kind of species. Okay, I'm going to hell for thinking a different view point.

Well, if God cares to put me in hell for my ideas and thoughts, then I guess hell is better for me. Rather be free to believe in what makes my life happier, me not killing anyone or hurting anyone or putting anyone down like yourselves do.

kinda states how the good book makes you go around throwing others around. Even the one's who just ask questions and don't abuse what you believe in or try to put down what you believe in. If I respect your ideas, your book, what you say, speak correctly, ACTUALLY listen to what you wrote and understand the point, message or what ever passage your trying to use to convey to me AND I'm STILL SCUM, AND GOING TO HELL, then I'm going to hell then. Though, that says a lot about you, yourself and what type of person you really are.

By the way, I actually do believe in God and Jesus. As I stated before, before I wrote what I said and everyone skimmed through it and went off book phrasing, I did mention intelligent design and I don't believe in creation. I guess no one actually thought that could mean believing in the higher power.

Do what you feel to my comments. Say what you want. Ban me off this site. Do what you wish, however it just shows, being a Christian isn't to love others like GOD says to, its just to keep their ass out of hell.

I just read your prior post and frankly, I have no fear of Hell as I am RIGHT with Jesus.

If you truly wanted to, you could make changes in your life; say "see ya satan" and "good day to you God" instead!

Thanks for the nice reply, although I don't see how my life needs changes nor how the devil has anything to do with anything mentioned before. I believe in what I believe.

It's a feeling that I hold within my heart and soul. It is how I live and what makes me stronger and strive in life to become a better person, even if people don't think other wise. By people, I mean the one's who sent the comments prior to yours. As I said before, I don't care about hell. I don't even believe in heaven or hell sorry to say. I don't feel that such a thing can exist.

In my life, I have seen a lot, thought of a lot and felt and gone though a lot when I have come to my conclusions, beliefs, ideas, concepts and so on. Whether people want to kill me for that, then so be it. It can't hurt me nor affect me. I no the path I walk and if people believe it to be bad then so be it. I know it is me, living a life that makes me happy, does not hurt anyone and does not kill anyone.

I know someone is going to say "Your killing yourself" then who cares. Life is one chance. No resets, no pauses, no rewinds. I care to live in through my way, through trail and error, for in the end, that is my way of perfection. To enjoy my mistakes, learning curves, good attempts, bad ones and etc. It is what it is. First off, I would like to say that I believe in intelligent design. Also, it is not the same as creation. Please don't respond with something stupid saying its the same. I'm just going to laugh at you. Research on it before you think it is.

Who do you think the intelligent designer is? Where is the evidence for this existence of this intelligent designer? How powerful are they? How benevolent are they? How do they differ from God?

Also, the bible. A lot of people seem to take the book beyond the word of "serious". Okay, people believe god wrote it, fair enough. However, have you seen god before? Have you meet him, heard him speak, seen him and so on. Did anyone really see the man sit down and write this said book?

Have you met Stephen Hawking? Have you actually seen him sit down and write his books? How do you know he exists, then?
