I say that it has 0 rest mass because if the particle did not have motion then it would have 0 mass. The fact that it is moving and has a certain frequency (light has both particle and wave properties) it means it has what is called relativistic mass. Visible light does not pass through curtains because it has a lower energy. UV, x-ray and gamma rays will most definately pass through your curtains hence the reason you can still get skin cancer in places where you are wearing clothes. All sorts of electromagnetic radiation is the same, including visible light.

So what is the difference between internal and external motion, and which are you addressing? And is not external motion merely relativistic according to the Lorentz transformation? And since there is internal motion then light is never really at rest. How can we observe this resting light particle and where can we find them?

Wait a darn minute here and move the goal posts back where you found them. You said that light can squirm "between the atoms of almost all materials" because it is so tiny. So I mention a couple of every day materials that most certainly fall within the set of "almost all materials" and now you decide that light is not tiny after all and cannot slip between the atoms.

We see that a lot from lying atheists. But then you go on to reverse your reversal by saying "All sorts of electromagnetic radiation is the same, including visible light." You really don't know what you are talking about do you? You are much like an actor playing a doctor who can spit the script out by rote but hasn't the foggiest idea what any of it means. In your case you are copying parts of a Wiki and throw in a few conjunctions on your own.

I did not say that the photons in visible light are any less small. I mentioned their energy. The photons are still much smaller than atoms and even electrons. If they have the correct amount of energy they are absorbed by the atom to increase the energy level of the orbitting electron. The photons that can pass through objects pass through because they are small enough AND they don't have the correct amount of energy to interact with the atoms. I have a reasonably decent knowledge of physics thankyou very much and also, I am most definately not an athiest.

However your concept of what an electron is or how it moves comes from a couple of centuries ago. Unfortunately we actually read the material we plan to critique, and understand what it says - so when we read anachronistic gobbledygook from toy posters we smile gently but feel no urge to respond. Nonsense. How could you every know these things for sure!? These fantasy particles are all so small that there is no way to verify they really exist. I believe in things I can actually see and touch, not in these fantasy particles.

Well, then perhaps only physicists understand physics. When dealing with things like electrons and photons they say that quantum indeterminacy means that descriptions of "size" or "location" are pretty meaningless and reduced to some sort of probability field.

Your position seems to be that God made the world and then told lies about it in the Bible (to tease us perhaps?) - but you depend on the book you consider to be false to argue that God made the world

Here is something from the Bible:

REVELATION 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

That means that you are telling us that God is going to "the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone" (that is called Hell, for your information).

There is a considerable burden of proof upon you then!
