So all you have to back you up is wikipedia, the site that I just a while ago explained is all lies?

Your argument has logic, unfortunately, it's circular logic.

You should spend more time worrying about God and less time worrying about a stupid sports team in a league nobody cares about.

You guys are the dumbest mother fuckers I have ever seen. I cannot believe there are so many retards that believe in all of this shit. There is no way God or Jesus or whoever would believe in this shit. I get so much entertainment just reading these forums cause they are all full of bullshit.

It's really sad how a bunch of lost pathetic people need to believe in all of this just to live their lives. You believe if you don't believe in this then you will do bad things. That my friends is sign of weakness and the reality is that there is probably a good amount of you that play with little boys and do sickening things.

                  Dear Pastor Billy-Reube,

I have read your comment and I can assure you there is no space to debate Heliocentricity vs Geocentricity here in this topic. I also do not desire to discuss this if the only evidence you have against heliocentricity is a few bible quotes, against libraries filled with counterevidence.
Although it would make for an interesting debate, I already know that all and any evidence I have will be dismissed in favour of the bible.
I will just put in a few selected images and end my monologue on the heliocentrical world view here:

Geocentrical world: center is the world (Terra)

this is the heliocentrical version: planets not to size

If.... (a mighty big 'if' too) your bottom image was correct, we would never see the outer four planets.
If the sun were as large as you show the Earth would surely be consumed in the suns flames.
If the earth revolved around the sun, instead of how it really is (with the sun revolving around the earth) there would only be sunlight in the USA and the rest of the world would be in the dark.

There are dozens of other problems with your depictions though at least you know enough to show them all as flat disks.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Although it is a good start and I encourage this. If you have questions about the Heliocentrical worldview it is important that you ask them. I will try my best to answer those questions.

First of, We would see the outer 4 planets, since we rotate around the sun. So when we get to be on the other side we would see them.

Your second point being: sun too big, we burn. In fact I must agree on this, But only if the indicated distance where correct, the image shows the sun so close because on a real scale you would be unable to see the planets, it is an artistic picture. Remember: PICTURE NOT TO SCALE

Also about your third point: Only USA gets sun... No, our planet revolves around itself, showing all sides to the sun, a full rotation takes about 24 hours. This way you have day/night.

Also i realize i made a mistake showing an artistic image, however i can't find one with the accurate distances. However i found this nice video showing accurate sizes of planets:

If you have any questions remaining please ask them. I'm not rying to convert anyone I am only trying to explain how others view our world. Thank you for your consideration.

Did you not see where I have consistently correctly applied trigonometric functions throughout this thread? I even explained to our Belgian friend how to calculate the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle given the length of the other two sides just a few hours ago.

The sun is NEVER directly overhead above 23°26' N latitude, and Belgium is about on the 50° N latitude line. Your name looks French to me so I'm guessing you are probably a Walloon from southern Belgium, but you are still nowhere near anywhere where the sun will be directly overhead, especially this time of year, and ESPECIALLY at 8:46 PM local time.

You can't tell whether the sun is directly overhead or at an angle, you can't even tell whether the sun is out or if it's nighttime, and you expect us to accept your ciphering? Do you know what the sun is? Would you recognize it if you saw it? It's kind of hard to miss. Maybe you are drinking too many of those Trappist beers y'all have over there.

You said you knew the sun was directly overhead because there were no shadows. There were no shadows because it was nighttime, Nimrod.

For one thing, the 288° K I cited at the beginning of the thread is an average global temperature over the whole year. That takes into account the Sahara Desert, the South Pole, and everything in between. It might be 325° K directly under the sun but 175° K at the fringes. You might have heard that it's hotter in the tropics than it is at the poles. That's why.

For another thing, we have an atmosphere which regulates and smooths out the temperature gradients. That's why the temperature doesn't drop straight to 0° K the instant astronomical twilight ends. Maybe you've heard of it.

Dayton, TN is considered Appalachia, isn't it? You might want to remember the old saying about glass houses and throwing stones.

                          Pastor Billy-Reuben
Actually, Pastor, at some point in time, i can face my back towards the sun. 500 miles further to the direction i am seeing, there is a guy who lives at the same altitude as mine.
The angle made between the legs of (sun-me) and (me-friend) is between 90° and 180°,
so my calculations are right, because all i use are the same formulas u had.
So if we can assume that your calculations are right, mine are as wel, so my friend has to live beyond 780 miles from the sun at that time.

Again, by calculating the temperature with this distance, your formula comes out to the number i gave you.

So actually, if that can not be right, that means that there must be something wrong with your proof.

Please don't repell this proof by telling that there is no such moment, because the person can not be living at exactly the same altitude.

Also, if earth was 600 miles away from the sun, and since u calculated the with the average temperature of the surface, what point will be that far away? The closest point to the sun or somewhere in between?

Also, in your drawing of the relationship between earth and sun, you've drawn the sun in the dome, so there is no such thing as "astronomical twilight"

You have assumed that the temperature will drop 6K/km if you go away from the sun, all i did was then assume that the temerature will raise 6K/km if you go closer to the sun.

                          Please Pastor,
You can not repell a formula on which your calculations were based.

Can you also please tell me the length of the earth?
(If you see it as a circle, diameter will do it)

I tried to believe u Pastor, but in this case, i still do not see my mistake, so i guess there must be something wrong in your assumptions

                              1. Why does "Helio" look so much like "Hell"? It seems like a pretty obvious clue...

                              2. Why does the sun in the previous depiction look like it came out of Hell?

helio- before a vowel, heli-combining form indicating the sun heliocentric heliolithic[from Greek, from hēlios sun]

It is derived from greek. Also did you realize that Hello contains the word hell?

Plus not all fire is evil! Don't you use fire (electrical fire in this case) to cook your food? Grilling? Guns use fire but also cars, airplanes and powerplants.
