  • Question on Your view of creationalism

I do not believe in Christianity any more however hear me out, is as the bible says the world was created in 7 days and the world is about 5,000 years old how do you explain fossils and carbon dating? are they just lies created by god to fool us or what?

Re: Question on Your view of creationalism

To think that God put fossils in the ground to fool us is silly.

It was, of course, Satan who put fossils in the ground and filled secular scientists' heads with all that carbon dating mumbo jumbo.

So, who filled your head with all this secular nonsense and turned you away from Christianity? Was it one of those public school science teachers? Perhaps you would like to introduce yourself to us on the Introduction boards?

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Re: Question on Your view of creationalism

My family has a highly non religious background i went to church as a young boy but when i hit 14ish i started to learn most of the bible is in my interpretation rubbish. you are believing in a book that was written over 2,000 years ago by men who jsut like you did not understand the world they live in, browsing about iv seen people say the sun is made of coal... its made mainly of helium and throught he process of fusion creates the other elements. i have a brother working at CERN 2 parents and 2 of my grandparents with phd/d phill from oxford/cambridge university. i accept for other to have differing views as it is only fair however when faced with such blindness it only leads me to think that YOU are the extremists in the world you are no better than the terroists in terms of faith, you may not go around bombing people but you have the same outlook, you wont listen to anything but your view. i will listen to your view i wll take it in i have read the bible and i accept there is some truth in it however it is not all true. and heres the deep question, WHERE HAVE THE MIRACLES BEEN FOR 2,000 YEARS. there are more Christians than ever but no miracles?

Re: Question on Your view of creationalism

Miracles occur every day, friend. One can see miracles in the act of childbirth, for example. The bigger miracles happen less often; they can be seen when a hurricane wipes out an island full of heathens, or when any natural disaster destroys large numbers of the Unsaved. This is God in action.

If your family is so smart, how did you fail so miserably?

Re: Question on Your view of creationalism

it is known that god can stop anything, he for example flooded the world to "wash away sin" so why does it happen that for example a Muslim and a Christian family live on the same street, a hurricane hits which you say is god acting its power and destroys the good perfect Christians home. the Muslims home is left undamaged. so is god saying that the Muslim is right? this is a hypothetical situation. but it does happen alot.

May I just stop you there, son? One is either “of God” or “Of the Devil”. OK, carry on…
i went to church as a young boy but when i hit 14ish i started to learn most of the bible is in my interpretation rubbish.
I take from this that you “learned your own interpretation”. Not very objective really is it?
you are believing in a book that was written over 2,000 years ago by men who jsut like you did not understand the world they live in,
No, we are reading a book by God who made the World – Look on it as a “users’ manual”
browsing about iv seen people say the sun is made of coal...
              And your point?
its made mainly of helium and throught he process of fusion creates the other elements.
              Been there have we???
i have a brother working at CERN
              The canteen?
2 parents and 2 of my grandparents with phd/d phill from oxford/cambridge university.
Indoctrinated in secular science rather than given the alternative Biblical version – Typical of Britain – Godless!
i accept for other to have differing views as it is only fair however when faced with such blindness it only leads me to think that YOU are the extremists in the world you are no better than the terroists in terms of faith,
We follow The Word of The Lord to the last jot and tittle – how can that be extreme?
you may not go around bombing people but you have the same outlook, you wont listen to anything but your view.
It is not our view, it is God’s
i will listen to your view i wll take it in i have read the bible and i accept there is some truth in it however it is not all true.
Hmmm. The choice is (a) What God says and (b) What you say… now, which is going to give me Eternal Bliss?
and heres the deep question, WHERE HAVE THE MIRACLES BEEN FOR 2,000 YEARS. there are more Christians than ever but no miracles?
Miracles occur daily – we witness one here – you have not been banned.

Can you show us an example where this has happened? You said it happens "alot", by which I assume you mean "a lot".

For that matter, can you even provide an example where a Muslim was allowed to live on the same street as a True Christian™?

I was about to ask if you were adopted, but then you decided to accept Jesus and demonstrated some real intelligence.

Congratulations, you may actually be related to your "genius" family! Happy day!

Now, I realize that you probably haven't read the whole Bible lately. If you don't have a particular favorite Bible verse, do you have a favorite Bible story you'd like to tell us about?

I'm partial to tales of God's justice, like in Numbers chapter 31. Such stories really help me understand just how much God really loves us -- so much, He just WON'T let us go (alive)!
