While Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron wonderfully illustrate that God created the banana with us in mind, I still only allow my sons to eat them mashed or chopped up into little bits. I don't want them to have to battle the same demons I did before reorientation camp. Bananas are pretty much what set it off for me.

Leave it to Satan to take God's Creation and turn it on its head. I can hardly bear to look at a banana to this day. Fortunately, many Piggett men feel the same way, so the grocery stores here sell them all pre-chopped in plastic containers.

Hmmm....... you have me concerned sir. I usually serve bananas to my boys chopped on their cereal (or mashed for the youngest), but my husband likes them whole. He doesn't even want me to peel it for him.

I am amazed by God's patience with His obnoxious children. He created the banana as a very explicit indication that He was the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Only the stupidest of mankind could deny it, and as those people, also known as atheists, did exactly that, God did not smite them, as they deserved, but gave them an even clearer hint that He exists. He truly is merciful and patient.

Petal, what a discovery. I'll be sure to check all my fruit twice now, not only to cut out any imperfections, but to make sure I greet Jesus with a sunny smile if he were ever to grace my fruit bowl!

I was wondering though, would it be appropriate to consume such a fruit? It looks like that banana would be the perfect addition to a creamy, delicious banana caramel pie and maybe it'd just give it an extra hint of our Lord!
