As for proof, well the fact that the south pole has 24 hours of daylight at the moment and you cannot describe a path of the sun consisent with that in a falt earth model is enough on its own.

Im well aware that true christians will not be moved on this and that this is not a debating forum but there might be lurkers reading who are actually persuaded by this flat earth nonsense if nobody objects.

This is ridiculous, it is common knowledge that the Earth is spherical. All you have to do is look at satelite pictures to see that. These claims about people falling off the bottom are invalid also. People do not fall downwards, experience a force toward the centre of the earth. The reason you cannot demonstrate this using a balloon as I have seen on this forum is because gravity is so weak. The only reason it works for the earth and people is because the Earth is just so heavy but yes, any two objects experience a force between them, however minute. I have also heard that jumping should cause you to land hundreds of miles in another direction. This is also wrong since the entire atmosphere is moving with the earth. You, as people are spinning with the earth and so when you jump you are still moving along with the earth.

I will be happy to refute any of the claims that you make against science with the exception of the age of the earth.

The reason for this is that Russia is so close to the west coast of Alaska. This small distance does not have much curvature. Go up higher so you can see a further distance and you will see it.
