Gravity makes things fall down. If the earth was round gravity would make people fall right off the underside.

Look, take a tennis ball and put a grain of rice on top of it. What happens? It sits there. That's gravity. Now turn the tennis ball upside down. Where is the grain of rice now? That's gravity too.

Since nobody falls off the Earth, it has to be flat. Idiot.

A tennis ball does not have gravity. The reason the rice will fall is because it is being pulled towards the center of the Earth. Like someone said before down is relative to where on Earth you are. In Australia they are pulled to the center. The Earth is indeed a sphere.

In the modern world it has become a widely spread lie that the earth is round. Of course, this is impossible. If the earth is round, then why don't people just fall off at the bottom?

The answer is simple: The Earth is not round!

Okay, just want to point out a contradiction the first verse says "four corners" the second says "circle of the Earth". I don't know if you know what you are talking about but a circle is round and cannot have corners. The only explanation is that those passages are wrong. Praise Jesus!

Ok, I had a thought here. I personally think the world is round. Now, if your worried about people falling off the earth if its round, can't God do anything? He designed the universe, the laws of physics, the perfect details of ever single one of the trillions of cells that make up your body. now if God wanted to put the world flat and upside-down, he could keep people from falling off, couldn't he? I find it more likely that God created the earth round and simply set up the system of gravity (as he IS God, there should not have been any difficulty here) ^ I fully expect to never hear the end of this . as for the 4 corners of the earth, off the top of my head, the first thing I think of is the known edges of the map.

If you have alot of issues believing the world is round, you can wait till 2025-2045, by then they should be ready to launch the commercial passenger transportation across the world by space. < this system is being built now, you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Because humans wrote the bible and they did not understand the natural processes we have today. God still could exist, I believe in the bible some where it says that time doesn't restrain him. So billions of years for us could be six days for him. The bible isn't taken literal 100% of the time.

Agreed. The ridiculous scientific theory does state that all things have a gravitational force. The ball and the grain of rice. Very small but is supposed to be there. If people are going to be fooled by this stuff at least they should have some knowledge on the subject.

Okay, thanks for the correction. (See unlike you I will change my view.) The gravitational force from the Earth is greater than the force from ball. So when you try to put the rice on the bottom of the ball it is pulled down because Earth has greater gravitational force. Does that make sense?
