This is just a misunderstanding on your behalf and I can fully understand that. What Capt. A. Portway is actually referring to is the "circle of the earth" as described in Isaiah 40:22:

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Will they burn in hell?

No, but you certainly will unless you repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

But astronauts have gone into space and have seen the Earth.. It is round.
So are other planets. We also have satilites to take pictures of the Earth. The Earth revolves around the sun, along with other planets. We are not the center of the universe or solar system. The thought is merely a product of someone's over-inflated ego. However, the moon does revolve around the Earth, but similar to the Earth, it is not flat.

Your first three pictures are made on the computer; it doesn't mean that they are real. The fourth picture is clearly a fake. It is simply an advertisement for a traveling company, stating that they can help you to travel to "the ends of the Earth" but only figuratively, not literally. The fifth is not even a photograph but a painting or sketch. The last two are only pictures of waterfalls, not the ends of the Earth. And gravity DOES exist.

I have noticed several debates on this particular subject here. To all you godless atheists out there, let's settle this once and for all...

In the modern world it has become a widely spread lie that the earth is round. Of course, this is impossible. If the earth is round, then why don't people just fall off at the bottom?

The answer is simple: The Earth is not round!

Now, if we take a look at some scripture, it clearly tells us the earth is not round but flat:

Jeremiah 16:19:
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

According to Jeremiah 16:19, the earth has ends. There is no way a spherical earth could have ends, and therefore the earth must be flat. The Book of Revelation tells a similar story:

Revelation 7:1:
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

A spherical earth cannot have corners, it is scientifically impossible. The only logical explanation is that the earth is flat. Checkmate atheists!
