Ok here is my challenge to the round earth thought police; you will convince me the world is round if you can furnish a picture of the earth taken from the side. You all show me pictures take of the earth from the front. Well how about the side? Since your scientists have all those satellites "orbiting" the earth this should be no problem.

Hello guys hows it going? Allow me to make a formal introduction. Im Corbeen, and currently attend a university in England reading physics. I know the fact i live in England and study physics may not make me very popular here but this thread has interested me for some time so i thought it would be good to post.
The thing i find interesting is that in school, college, university we go to learn but often it is just taken for granted that things are right. It has facinated me reading this thread and other similar creation science threads as they provide a different viewpoint on things where the accepted model is assumed to be different. The main function of science is to question things which were previously assumed to be different and try to use theory to analyse them and provide alternative theories backed up by evidence.
I am basically saying i believe it is right to question things which are assumed fact and just wanted to provide some counter arguements to the theories Brither Alex has put forward.

In the modern world it has become a widely spread lie that the earth is round. Of course, this is impossible. If the earth is round, then why don't people just fall off at the bottom?

The universally accepted theory between scientists is that gravity is as an attractive force between two bodies. In other words it is not simply a downward force but can be thought of as simply attractive. It acts in the direction of the line separating the two bodies. Newton's law of gravitation gives an expression for this force. The formula also implies the force works at an infinite distance.
Gravity is the force which holds you on the earth. The thing i find interesting is that gravity not only pulls you to the earth but your body pulls the earth towards you with an equal but opposite force.

I do not see why a model like this could not exist for a round earth and larger distance between the earth and heavens.

Without being rude, which real scientists are you referring to? I would be interested in the names of these scientists and evidence showing their research, the papers they have published in credible scientific journals.

Also i do not understand the model you have provided. The orbits of venus and the moon are very close at times and are not much further from the sun than each other. Why then is Venus a huge molten fireball whereas the moon is not?

Now, if you still don't believe these scientific facts, here are some real photographs taken at the ends of the earth:

Ok about the pictures. Brother Alex you have said yourself in this thread that surrounding the flat earth is a huge wall of ice. How come if these are indeed the end of the earth we can see no ice in any of these pictures? Your evidence does not support the theory.



This is a fantastic picture. However the fact there is no icewall means it does not support your theory. Also the fact that at the top it says 'century travel' (which if you google it is a travel company) shows that it is an advertisement.

Again, no ice, and you can see, looking at the perspective of the picture, that in order to have taken the photograph the photographer must have been standing off the earth. Also why would the guy sailing the boat ride it off the edge anyway? I believe this to be genuine.

As you can see, this is a solid proof the Earth is flat. Why else would it have edges like these? ...because the earth is flat! That's why.

I ask you again Brother Alex, where is the icewall you have talked about previously in this thread? Either the icewall theory is wrong or the pictures are wrong, which?
