Also, I have not lost the discussion. I very simply and completely disproved your theories. It is now up to you to not "lose" this argument by proving me wrong by other means than "The bible said so". That mentality is very similar to what the old saying "If so and so told you to jump of a bridge would you?" I was not lashing out with insults I was merely saying it how it was presented before me. It seems I have received an infraction notice for this forum. Reason "Reason: Practicing occultism (science or other) on GOD's favorite forum". Well as it seems you are on the internet I could also condemn you to hell for playing with the result of Occult behavior such as science. All you forum goers are definitely going to hell. 1. This is refutable, as you are moving at the exact same speed the earth is. Therefore if you jump, you will land in the exact same spot.

2. Gravity does not work that way. For gravity to have an effect on matter the mass of the object must be extremely large. A balloon is not large enough to have a gravitation pull. Gravity pulls objects down, and therefore if you were at the bottom of the earth, you will still be pulled towards the earth.

3. In fact, this can be easily disproved. Go to a dock and observe a ship moving towards you off in the horizon. Do you notice you see the sails before you see the rest of the ship? What explanation do you have for this?

From what I have read so far in this thread, I am expecting only ad hominem attacks against me rather than an actual rebuttal against my argument.

In fact, I shall now argue that marijuana does not make you stupid. Obviously, the person you replied to uses marijuana (we can leave out harder drugs such as meth and cocaine as those are actually harmful), but how does that make him stupid? It doesn't and I shall explain why. First let me explain what a cannabinoid is. A cannabinoid is a naturally occurring chemical found in the brain, these cannabinoids react with receptors within the brain that stimulate information coming from the five senses. Marijuana has a chemical in it called THC, or tetrahydrocannibinol. When this chemical enters the bloodstream (note that this is a naturally occurring chemical), there is an increased amount of cannabinoids in the brain which over-stimulates the five senses creating a distorted (yet pleasant) view of the world. When the excess cannabinoids are taken in by the receptors, they disappear and within a day or two, the excess cannabinoids are completely gone (note that the overall experience of marijuana lasts only about 2-3 hours). This process, (which I will admit if you are a heavy user does have some effect) has no effect whatsoever to the brain. Brain cells are not destroyed, nor is there any change to ones life after using marijuana. The only people who experience effects of marijuana are heavy users (classified as smoking once or more per day). They are effected because having a constant flow of any chemical in the brain (even alcohol and cigarettes) is enough to have a lasting impact.

In fact, I volunteer at the local soup kitchen, I donate to books and money and clothes to charity and I go to church as much as I can.

I would need an object bigger than anything you can imagine for gravity to have an effect.

What if the water is clear and there are no waves yet you see the same effect happening?

This is about how the earth is flat, not how much drugs you use.

If that is true, then why did you refute someone arguments because they were a "druggy"? And why do you assume I use drugs just because I understand how they effect the brain? The difference between you and I is that I don't just believe things someone has told me. I do my own research and come to my own conclusions rather than believing something because that is whats popular, whats rumored, whats written down, etc.

For the record, I'm a Christian, non-drug user. So before you attack me, please consider that.
