I really cannot comprehend how you people think the world is flat. It's absolutely mind-blowing. Honestly guys pick your battles. Have you not seen pictures from space? You know the ones that show the world being rather spherical? Your experiments were very poorly done and explained. Your simple "jump" experiment is easy as you are also moving at the same speed... Also your balloon explanation. The balloon has a much greater size than your piece of paper but it's mass is still very small. The earths mass is approximately 6,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000kg. A humans mass is between 50-120kg on average? So using a 120kg man as an example we see the earth is 500,000,000,000,000,000,000,00 times the mass of a person. So gravity would indeed play a part. Your last argument is ridiculous. the world is just so big that to try and view it's curvature is absurd. I can't believe someone said this would be good for their homeschooling... Are you insane! This is very destructive behaviour for children! They are by nature supposed to accept what is told to them. If you teach them this now then they are doomed to be completely socially and intellectually behind. Let them figure out for themselves what to believe. By doing this to them you are effectively taking away their right to free will.
