Anyways, I would once again like to request responses to my post on page 21, but like I said, you are all blatantly ignoring that like you do with anything you can not simply pass off as "foul" or "heathen". I really would like to hear some educated responses to this, if I am wrong, then by all means present arguements to support that.

Why do you believe the earth is round when the Bible tells us it is flat.

If the earth was round, you would not have, west, east, north and south

Job 28:24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven
Job 38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

Again the bible clearly says the ends of the earth. Does a ball have an end.

Wow that jump theory of yours is one of the funniest things I have ever read!

It wasn't a joke. I'm not sure you'll find it funny when you die believing in a spherical Earth and when God judges you, He throws you into the deepest pits of Hell for daring question His Holy Word.

Apparently you have not heard of anything called relative speed.

So, discredit this if you will: You are standing inside a car travelling at 30 feet per second and you jump. Let us assume that your jump lasts for 1 second just to make it easy. According to your theory, you would then land 30 feet behind the car.

First of all, I don't know how you can even jump in a car. I drive a Mercedes Benz S600 AMG and that's a pretty roomy car in the back seat, but there's no room to jump or stand. So that's a pretty poor experiment on your part.

But, in the car you could throw up a coin in the air. The coin will come straight down in your hand. I guess this is what you call relative speed. But, you are comparing apples and oranges. A car is not the same as the Earth.

The big difference is the car is inside and the Earth is outside. Now, stand on the roof of the car and jump up. What happens? Do you land back on the car? According to your "relative speed" theory, you would.

As for the blow theory, you are kind of disproving your own arguement there. The paper falls off the baloon because the earth's gravity is higher than the gravity of the balloon. But that's not the funniest thing actually. You are claiming people in Australia would fall off, as if Australia was on the botton of the sphere, and Alaska on the top of the sphere. How come we can't view, for instance, Boulder, Colorado to be at the very bottom of the sphere. I mean, who are you to say that Australia, relative to the entire universe, is pointing downwards?

So now you're contradicting your own scientists (interesting). How come then on every map and every globe, Australia is on the bottom? I've never seen Boulder, Colorado at the bottom of any map or globe. Ever.

Besides, it doesn't matter where top or bottom is. The point is there is a top and bottom. Let's say for sake of argument that Australia was on the top. Okay, the people wouldn't fall off. But, if you go the antipodal part of the Earth of Australia, which would be around the United Kingdom area, then UK people would be falling off the Earth. But, the UK people are not falling off either.

This leads to the logical conclusion that everywhere on earth is more or less on a relatively flat, even level and is on top.

Let's say we're standing on a ship on a completely still day in the middle of the ocean, if the earth was flat, we would have unlimited view in all directions right? Why do the ships disappear as they move over the horizon? Why don't they fall off, seeing as the earth is flat and if they go below sea level, the ship must surely be sinking or falling off the edge?

Since when is the ocean completely flat? Ever heard of waves? Also, waves can be hundreds, if not thousands of feet high in the middle, deepest parts of the open sea. If a ship sails out of view and you only see the top of it, that means it's going down a wave crest and is actually below average sea level, and your view is obstructed by that wave.

There is also velocity and acceleration you must take into account. If you jump you lose that velocity and acceleration, making you slow down. This does not mean you will fall backwards however. The time at 0 seconds, the exact moment when you jump, you will be traveling at the same speed as the car. As you lose that velocity you begin to slow down and the car would be moving faster than you all the while.

So, while you slow down with speed and the car gains speed you will find that you will not land in the same place.

I have read Rev Jim's exciting home experiments and tried them all at home and they worked. Therefore, his work was peer reviewed and his conclusions prove TRUE.

Did you try the one I came up with, about pouring the glass of water on the balloon and noting the runoff....proving we'd be dessert dry with no water if the Earth were, indeed, round?

Indeed I did Mistress Cookie and your experiment held up to be 100% accurate! I even did it a second time to make sure and same result!

I even posted a "likeness" some time back on this thread supporting your experiment.




Another thing too. We have MANY floods here in Australia too so if the earth was round (like a globe) that wouldn't happen now would it!

Not that we gals are not science minded, mind you. It takes quite alot of scientific prowess to get a Sponge Cake or a fluffy buttermilk pancake to rise just right.

Just want to add in something with the blow theory here: You don't seem to understand the difference between mass and volume. The balloon, relative to it's size, is NOT that much greater in MASS than the tiny piece of paper if you look at it in cubic inch per cubic inch. You see, mass is the WEIGHT of and object, VOLUME is the size. Since the volume of the balloon is made up of 99% air, it will not be lighter than your piece of paper. But you need to understand the difference between MASS and VOLUME to understand this. And sadly, the gravity on earth is much greater than anything you can actually manufacture at home here. Why? Because the objects you are using to manufacture those items are objects already on our planet, so unless you use 5.0000000000001% of the earths material to make something to prove this experiment, the result will always end in a failure. Not really gonna bother explaining the simple physics behind this since you will probably dismiss it as mumbo jumbo.

Well, that's my view anyways, feel free to keep moving backwards towards the dark ages though.

Ignoring the insults if you had bothered to read the thread I repeated this test with a toy ball and a Jolly ball. It turned out that the denser the item the easier the piece of paper fell off.
