Sorry, you aren't accurately representing the definition. Faith is "pistis" in the Greek. The word means trusting with great confidence. There is nothing at all about a lack of proof, or lack of evidence...in fact, quite the opposite. We don't trust in things with great confidence without evidence.
God gives us plenty of evidence to make a choice whether or not to believe on Him. He will not force belief, but does indeed provide sufficient evidence for us to render a verdict.
We are much more interested in the fact of the existence of Jesus Christ and His status as Lord of Lord, and King of Kings. We love the fact of His life, we acknowledge the fact of His death, and celebrate the fact of His resurrection. And, yes, there is evidence out there for this, as well as the "general" existence of God, and we point to these things.
