I just had a quick question.

I have never seen the earth from space, so I can't absolutely say that the earth is round, no matter how many pictures or proofs I've seen. But, I accept it as being true. You accept Scripture as being true, which is perfectly fine with me. But, were you alive when it was written? Were you actually there when Jesus was nailed to the cross? I don't see how you, or me, or any of us can accept any of it more than we accept science. I'm all for having faith and defending God to the grave, but I do not think any of us has the right to determine what's absolutely true or untrue. Absolute truth is only known by our Creator.

Sorry, you aren't accurately representing the definition. Faith is "pistis" in the Greek. The word means trusting with great confidence. There is nothing at all about a lack of proof, or lack of evidence...in fact, quite the opposite. We don't trust in things with great confidence without evidence.

God gives us plenty of evidence to make a choice whether or not to believe on Him. He will not force belief, but does indeed provide sufficient evidence for us to render a verdict.

We are much more interested in the fact of the existence of Jesus Christ and His status as Lord of Lord, and King of Kings. We love the fact of His life, we acknowledge the fact of His death, and celebrate the fact of His resurrection. And, yes, there is evidence out there for this, as well as the "general" existence of God, and we point to these things.

I really am uneasy with the word "fact" being thrown around in any conversation, particularly one like this. Even scientists only deal with theory (i.e., the best explanation they can come up with for the time being). Newton's Laws were modified by Einstein, and will be modified again and again and again.

I just feel like it's a little, um, forward to flat out accept that you know the absolute truth, as a human. My creator knows all, which is why, even faced with heavy scientific evidence to the contrary, I will never flat out reject the Christian faith. My point being...my guess is as good as anyone else's, I suppose.

If you say the earth is flat and round, then you are disputing the bible, which claims it has corners.

However, as I've explained, there is visual proof the earth is sphearical by looking at the moon. The reason the moon has phases is that it is partially covered by the shadow of the earth.

Round is a little inaccurate. Roundish is more clear. The four corners refer top the points of a compass. The earth also has edges similar to a coin. Notice the "Waters below Earth".

Wrong. The Earth's shadow does sometimes cross the Moon, causing lunar eclipses, but this has nothing to do with the Moon's phases.
