ALexander the Great used it to control the savages that his people conqured...halloween, christmas, 4th of july, thanksgiving, all fall on the pagan holidays of the sulstices (sp).

Alexander the Great lived from 356 - 323 BC. More than 300 years before Christ. How could he have used the Bible and Christianity to control people?

No, Jesus did not die for unsaved trash. Jesus died only for His sheep (which is a select group of people):

You will find in John 10:11 that Jesus says "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." Later on in verse 26, Jesus says to some unbelievers: "But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you." Uh oh - you John 3:16 heretics have a few problems on your hands. Jesus says He came to die for the sheep, and then proceeds to say that only His sheep can believe. In other words, only the people for whom Jesus died will believe. Note that the reason that unbelievers don't believe is BECAUSE they are not His sheep. This passage explains who the world is in John 3:16, and it's clearly not everyone. Furthermore, the only people who can believe are the ones whom God has ordained to eternal life. "And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed." Acts 13:48. So, if you have been ordained to eternal life, that means that you will believe, you are one of God's sheep, God loves you, and He sent His Son to die for you so you wouldn't be condemned. If you have not been ordained to eternal life, that means you are not one of His sheep, you NEVER will believe and are already condemned.

Indeed, then why does the New Testament contain over 900 quotes and references to the Old Testament? The New Testament would make no sense at all without the Old. A few laws from the old days were gotten rid of because they were fulfilled by the crucifixion- these are explained clearly. They were not wrong. They were right at the time, and the rest of the Old Testament besides those laws, as we can see by how often Jesus quotes the Old Testament, is still the binding Word of God.

1. Your understanding of gravity appears weak. The earth is so much more massive than the objects surrounding it that its mass pulls those objects toward its core. The earth weighs approximately 5,973,700,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilograms; the average American weighs about 80. That makes the ratio of the mass of a human to the earth 1:74671250000000000000000.
You're moving at that speed too; you just don't know it. Our system of mph disregards the movement of the earth because it is a given.

2. First, this experiment is based on the assumption that gravity is false, which is the absolute wrong way to go about disproving it.

Second, the difference between the mass of a balloon and a scrap of paper is not large enough to attract, even if this experiment were performed in deep space.

Third, it won't prove anything unless in a complete void. The principle of gravity is that small objects will move toward a significantly more massive one. So what's the most massive thing around? Not the balloon; the earth. THAT's why everything falls, because the earth is pulling it towards its core. Like the sun pulls us. This has been proven time and time again and is accepted universally by the world's leading minds. It makes SENSE.

Also I suggest you spend some time in the Southern Hemisphere. It does exist, and people live there, you know--you spend enough time saying God hates it. If it didn't exist God wouldn't hate it.

3. Because the earth is so large, its curvature is almost imperceptible. If you were to draw, say, a circle around your home, and then only stare at an sixteenth of an inch of it, the line would seem straight. Proportionally, that's about the most of the Earth that can be seen without some serious equipment. No matter how high on the earth's crust you go, you cannot perceive the curve of the earth. However, were you to exit our atmosphere, you would see that the earth is in fact spherical.

Gravity exists. Even if the world were flat, what force would be keeping you on the surface? Gravity.
