The death penalty (for mass murderers and the like) is not comparable to saying you would (if you could) kill someone if you think they are a nonbeliever.


I would ask you to reread the New Testament and particularily in respect to the New Covenant.

The old 'Eye for an eye', 'Kill homosexuals' teachings were done away with during this period.

So you are just being picky which parts of the Bible applies to the death penalty. You are quite happy for murders to have the death penalty, but not gays who spread AID's to others. Gays who spread aids are just as guilty of murder, because AID's kills people!

One thing that's obvious, when someone is losing an argument, here the flat earth one, he/she changes the subject.

I watched the whole video. I still don't think it proves anything. In no way does it show it's a sphere. While at the top, it did show a curving horizon on Earth, that just reaffirms the Bible's teachings that the Earth is flat and circular, like a coin.

Have none of you taken high school physics?
Did you all take chemistry instead?
I suppose the requirements for graduation differ from place to place, but where I live, it is mandatory to take at least 3 science classes during high school, two of which must be lab based.
I would like to ask the question, has anyone heard Of Sir Isaac Newton?
Or any of his discoveries?
Besides his main laws regarding physics, he also pioneered calculus.
Rev. Jim Osbourne, you said that the earth is flat like a coin. Perhaps I do not understand. How, then, can the entire earth not be shown from planes, weather balloons and other craft that reach the top of the atmosphere?

If my arguments are unsubstantiated claims, then so are yours. To elaborate, I was referring to my post in your interpretation of the story of Adam and Eve, not of the post regarding hatred.

I understand that Catholicism and modern day Christianity are two separate things, however, modern day Christianity stemmed from Catholicism, there were no "Christians" to hate before the 1500s.
However, during the Roman empire, I do believe they were referred to as Christians. But please, correct me if I am mistaken.

The theory of gravity is not all that came from Newton.

As far as Genesis 1-6:8 goes, I do not understand the correlation between the earth not being shown in it's entirety and this quote. Will you please elaborate?
