I have a question regarding this, which I don't understand. Please don't get me wrong or get angry.

The reason why we don't move is called Conservation of Momentum and is based on objects in motion tend to stay in motion. So when you throw and apple while on a bus up into the air you will catch it again, as it moves at the same speed of the bus.

This is a trick you can do on a bus. This is provable, as you can do it on a bus.

Why are you athiests all so fascinated with jumping or throwing stuff on planes, trains and automobiles? All this time on your hands doing this dangerous stuff distracting drivers and pilots would be betters spent studying your KJV bible for the answers you need in life.

Someone mentioned that if the earth's round, then why doesn't water fall out.
It's not our atmosphere that's keeping in the water, as such. It's gravity. And gravity is centered within the earth, not outside of it. That means that people stay on earth, because we're pulled in.

Take the moon, for example. There's very little gravity there, which means the astronauts had difficult walking normally.

I suppose same effect can be said with space-simulators. I.e. aeroplanes, which makes a drop and allows you to be wightless for X amount of seconds.

Yet another believer in that NASA special effects film - The earth is flat and Brother James has provided you with photo evidence.

There are pictures of the earth from space. Loads of them. We've sent telescopes into space to take pictures of stars and of ourselves. Unless you assume this is all government conspiracy how can the world be anything but round?
The earth is huge, which is why you can see "flat" for several distances. You cannot see far enough to see it curve.

Have you ever ridden an aeroplane? If you have, look out the window when you're far up and you can see the curve.


Please note I am not being aggressive, I am just curious as to how you can believe these things and I try to understand the logic behind your ideas.

This has already been answered several times before - please have the good manners to read back on the thread before spouting the same pagan nonsense we have dealt with several times already.

disproving of test 1: The Earth's gravity is so large that we do not feel or notice Earth's rotation or orbit.
Disproving of test 2: The reason that the paper does not stick is because of earth's gravity. If there is a much larger object nearby ( the Earth), the first object's (the balloon) gravity is simply overlapped.
Disproving of test 3: The reason that you see more is that the earth is so large that it appears flat from our viewpoints.

That's not the point. I understand you can travel at 500 mph in an airplane and you won't feel it. My point is if you jumped up, the Earth would be rotating under your feet and you would land hundreds of feet away.

And before you say "Well trying jumping up in an airplane" (like the 10,000 people who have said that in this thread), that is an invalid comparison. A better comparison would be standing on the wing of an airplane and jumping up. You would fly off.

In both cases you have nothing but the atmosphere around you. So if you fly off by being on the outside of a truck or airplane, and you don't when you jump on a stationary surface, it reasons to be that the Earth is not rotating and therefore flat and stationary, like the Bible says.

Overlapped? Please explain this then: If everything is getting pulled to the earth's center, explain the tides? Supposedly our gravity pulls the moon in orbit around us, but how could the moon pull tides? If the NASA hoax films are to be believed, people are virtually weightless on the moon. Therefore the moon has low gravity, right? So how can the weak gravity moon overcome the stronger earth's gravity?

A simpler explanation is the earth is already flat with to begin with. Occam's razor.

That's why you get a higher tide in the spring/fall when all 3 are lined up. Earth's shape is actually more like an egg, causing a stronger force of gravity in areas closer to the equator. Combine that with the gravity of the moon and sun and you've go thte highest tides of the year. END OF STORY!

If there's a stronger force of gravity in areas closer to the equator, using your own science the people and animals born there would be shorter and squatter.

Using your twisted logic, if I went to the equator I'd be all exhausted from fighting stronger gravity, and if someone from the equator came up north they'd be super strong and tough.

I just have a question. The internet uses satellites...while 'revolve' around the Earth, can this be explained? Since you are all using it, I guess there must be an explanation!

Of course it can be explained. Haven't you ever flushed a toilet? The satellites are probably rotating around the earth much like the sun and moon do.

I have heard that the satellites eventually burn up as they try to come back to earth. It's no doubt God smiting them like He did the Tower of Babel.

I'm no creation scientist, however. I'm more of a Bible study Christian history type of guy.

Would that work the same as an exercise ball?

If you put your face right up to it, it looks flat, but the further away you move, the more you can see it's true form, because of the size of it.

Would this not be true to the earth? The further away you get, the more of it you can see?

Experiement 2, if the earth was moving at 1000 MPH and we jumped, the way you describe it, the earth would keep moving and we sould stay still in the air, so we would not land in the same spot right?

What about if you are on a train or bus and you jump, is this not the same? If it is, then why do you land in the same spot you jumped from?

This is because of momentum, if the earth is rotating at 1000 mph, then in actual fact you are moving at the same speed, so when you jump, you are not only jumping up (while that may be your only intention) but you are jumping forward due to the momentum you have built up from the earths rotation.

Please do help me, I am confused and seeking help on this.

I have learned all of this in school, am I being taught wrongly?

The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:

This would simply not be possible in a spherical-earth conceptualization. If the earth were a sphere, how would people on the other side of the planet be able to see the tree? This is where Occam's Razor, which secular "scientists" often like to cite, comes into play. The simplest explanation is that the entire planet can see the tree because the earth is flat.

1) Jump!
Now, scientists claim that Earth is spherical and rotating at a speed of between 700-1000 miles per hour, depending on your latitude. This is a very high rate of speed. You can disprove this nonsense by simply jumping up as high as you can. Really, it's that simple. What happens when you jump? You come straight down to where you were. But, if the Earth were indeed spinning at such a fast speed, wouldn't you land hundreds of feet away?

If you are inside a car which is traveling at a steady 75 Mph, and you drop a book at head height over your lap, does it land in your lap or hit your body?

The easy answer is your lap, because you and the book are traveling at the same speed as the car. Just like you are traveling at the same speed as the earth as it rotates, so when you jump you only go up and down.

When the car is slowing down or speeding up, the book may move either towards or away from you as you drop it depending on how you are sitting.

If you were to stand in the flat bed of a truck going 75 mph, and jump straight up, what would happen? You wouldn't fall straight down. You would fall out of the truck. That's because trucks move, the Earth doesn't. This experiment proves the Earth is fixed in space and doesn't move.

If you're on the OUTSIDE of the truck you will feel a force on you that may be enough to cause you to fall out because as you move, the air doesn't relative to the car and rushes against you at 75 mph.

2) Blow!

Since if the Earth is supposedly a sphere, it naturally comes to assume what would happen to people below the equator, like in Australia? Since they are underneath the sphere, wouldn't they fall off? This is where scientists come up with mumbo-jumbo like "gravity" and "centrifugal force" to explain away their theories. So, the scientists want you to think that because the earth is so much more massive than people or things, that people will naturally "stick" to the bottom of the earth because of gravity.

What you describe is not the force of gravity. Gravity always acts down at you and is pointed towards the centre of the earth's mass, so no matter where you stand on the earth you will always experience the same force of gravity.

This can be disproved very simply. Get a balloon and inflate it as big as possible. It will be a spherical shape. Now, take a piece of paper and try to rip, tear, or cut the tiniest speck of paper possible. This paper represents a human being, much smaller in mass to the balloon, which represents the Earth. Now try and place the small piece of paper to the underside of the balloon. What happens? It falls off!

A balloon does not have enough mass to pull objects towards it to such an extent that we can see it with our own eyes. You need something much much larger than is practical.

That's right. Even though the balloon is so much bigger in mass, it cannot hold the tiny paper. So if the Earth was a sphere, no one could live below the equator because they would fall off.

Refer to my point before about what gravity is. Some people noticed that the tiny piece of paper would sometimes become stuck to the balloon. Rest assured, Satan is not causing this... Static charge differences are.

3) Get High!

Ok, this one you really can't do at home, but you can do it out in the world. Stand on the ground and look around you. What's the farthest you can see? Maybe it's a building, tree, or mountain. Now, find some place very close to it where you can get a much higher vantage point. (This also works if you're on a jet and about to take off.) Notice how in the higher place you can see much farther? You can see more of the world the higher you get. This shows the world is flat because the higher you go, the easier it is to see over obstacles. At the same time, it shows the world cannot be spherical. Because if the world was curved, the far distance would forever remain out of view because of the Earth's curvature. It would eternally be over the horizon.

If the Earth was a sphere, it would not matter how high you went, you would still see the same thing. Since this is not the case, the Earth is flat.

No no, I am not saying that at all, I am saying, if the earth is flat, then it is a two dimentional object, 2 dimentional objects can not possibly have somthing rotate around them that we can see, therefore, the fact we can see the moon and sun tells us that they are three dimentional objects, thus concluding so is the earth.
