Falling off the 'bottom'??????? What do you think bottom means? There is no up or down in space so there is no 'bottom' to the earth, yes gravity does exist and it keeps you on the ground just the same is it keeps someone in Australia on the ground.
And no you can't see very very far away things from a jet, because the earth is round, this is primary school stuff guys come on. What do you think happens when you go too far in one direction? Do you 'fall off'???? And why hasn't anyone ever 'fallen off' the earth? Go on google earth and have a look at it for Christs sake.

I do not remember mentioning anything about whether or not the earth is flat or not but obviously I belive that the earth is round. All the "experiments" that the topic creator posted to prove that it is can be and have been debunked by modern physics .

To prove that the earth is round I would like to point out the view one sees as a ship goes over the horizon. On a flat Earth, the image of the ship would gradually decrease in size as its distance grows, but on the Earth we live on that the lower parts of it disappeared from view.

To prove that the earth is round I would like to point out the view one sees as a ship goes over the horizon. On a flat Earth, the image of the ship would gradually decrease in size as its distance grows, but on the Earth we live on that the lower parts of it disappeared from view.
