Looks flat to me. And you can clearly see the edge. Spheres don't have edges. Did you fail third grade geometry?

No no, I am not saying that at all, I am saying, if the earth is flat, then it is a two dimentional object, 2 dimentional objects can not possibly have somthing rotate around them that we can see, therefore, the fact we can see the moon and sun tells us that they are three dimentional objects, thus concluding so is the earth.

Paper plates are 2-dimensional now?

I'm seriously worried about the state of public education these days.

Let's straighten this out. I am clearly mis-understanding you when you mention pie-shaped.

The earth is round-ish/sphere-ish. It's not totally round, but it's a good description.

It's not flat, or flat-ish. It's more round than it's flat, right?

Why do you all flame me so much when I ask questions, calling me stupid and such? Good gracious, shouldn't you explain things? Am I mocking you? Have you read me mocking you? No, you haven't, so stop being so angry.

Someone mentioned I don't seem bright. He commented on "I came here in peace, to openly understand your belief and why you believe." So, I should take this as me being dumb to think you'd actually be peaceful as well? Wow, what kindness. Didn't Jesus preach about being kind you your neighbour?

Now, stop flaming me and answer my questions. There's NO reason to tear me apart.

The world has changed since Christianity was brought forward. Medicine from then as been "sharpened" and made better. We move on, we learn. Some things are wrong, but we don't know it until we get more information.

When Christianity was introduced we knew very little about the world. Considering how religions have stepped back and accepted proof from Science, shouldn't this make you wonder about what else might not be correct in the bible?

Are you denying science and stick to the bible. Possibly believing the moon-landing, Mars-Rover, Hubble Telescope, Governments and what else are decieving everyone and is a sham?

Do you believe the moon changes size? I ask because sometimes, and just the other morning here in cold DK, I noticed that the moon look particularly big. I've seen it change shape.

So, does that mean the moon changes shape or do you believe in the scientific explanation, which is that the mind is tricked and we see things incorrectly.

I wish to understand the logic behind your belief. Obviously I don't get it, because it's not logical, but rather an emotional, which is fine.

This doesn't mean YOU are illogical and cannot be reasonable. It doesn't mean your bible is either. Most parts of the bible can be interpreted in many different ways as it's subjective. Point of logic lies with whatever eyes looking at it. What you see as logical someone else sees as illogical and vice versa.

So religion is subjective and since I "haven't been saved" I shouldn't have expected you to behave kindly towards me.

Between the thousan religions existing and having existed I don't get why you assume this one is the correct one, but I imagine I will never get it.

I will leave this dicussion now, since your pointing out me being peculiar is a totally invalid point. It seemed to me you lacked anything to say and jumped on something that doesn't even mean the same thing in that context. Sure peculiar and curious can resemble each other, were they put in a sentence that allowed it, but the point of my sentence was not to validate my mentality or lack of, which makes your comment unnecessary and just mocking.

Hello everyone, I'm a newly found christian, living with the love of god. I found Christianity through a rehabilitation program, and my life has been changed since. This topic is what actually brought me to this forum, and I'm quite interested in it. I don't quite understand. How can the world so blindly accept all these lie's about the world. If there is so much evidence that the earth is flat, why do the heathens in my town, the "scientist" who write these books(non as good as the book) and make these pictures giving people false information. Is it not clear that god and his followers, knew all, and spreads his love through the power of truth. And if gravity and centripital force are lies, how do we explain these things in naturally occuring occurances on earth.

Please help me be with god further.

Well, it's simple.. it's NASA's need for money. You see NASA is a multi billion dollar funded project and if they revealed that they've never been to the moon what do you think would happen? What do you think would happen to their funding, to the "projects", to their little special effect movies?

It'd all go poof and along that would go the funding.
