I think the earth was probably flat once when God first made it, but then Lucifer was thrown into Hell and Hell is so hot it made the earth curl in on itself into a little ball, like when you put stuff in the oven.

I was raised in a Baptist home and a Baptist church. I am a strong believer in a young earth and seven-day creation. However, I admit no one in our church ever mentioned anything about the earth being flat. And to be honest, it seems kind of silly. I thought the earth was proven to be round when Columbus sailed around the world?

I will admit though these three experiments are certainly interesting. If the world was spinning, I would land hundreds of feet away, like you said. And there would be colossal winds bowling everybody and everything over.

But there's all these pictures from space. And like I said, I live in an environment that embraces YEC but nothing has been said about a flat earth. If the earth was flat, why hasn't my pastor told me about it? I'm sorry I'm a little confused about this all.

Hear these words and understand sister. I have also seen many pictures of many wonderful things and they were all made in photo shop. Have you ever seen the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey. All pictures of the Earth are actually screen caps of this movie. Check it out. You will be edified by it.

As for your pastor, have you properly submitted to him and your husband?

Hear these words and understand sister. I have also seen many pictures of many wonderful things and they were all made in photo shop. Have you ever seen the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey. All pictures of the Earth are actually screen caps of this movie. Check it out. You will be edified by it.

Well aside from calling Brother James ugly (personally, if he wasn't married I'd be reminding him that I'm still single ), you've shown your true colors here by cherry-picking scripture and calling us false believers.

Why don't we take a look at Leviticus 19:27 in context?

"Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." Leviticus 19:27-28

Now, why don't we take a look at Deuteronomy 14:1?

"Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead." Deuteronomy 14:1

Now, do you notice something about these verses? We're prohibited from cutting our hair and True Christian(tm) men are prohibited from cutting their beards for the dead. That means that, while shaving your head for a funeral is forbidden, there's nothing wrong with going to the barber's for a trim.
