I look out my window, I see trees. I cannot see NYC (sbout 425 mies from my home), even from the top of the steeple. No curves.
i can see about ten miles then the haze makes it impossible to see more.

i can see about ten miles then the hazze makes it impossible to see more.

"We arr not children" it looks to me that you are the child here. Do you even know what a Tangent point is? because if you did you would understand this drawing. the reason you can't see the curve from the top of a steeple is because the world is to big to see the curve at that altitude. If you were to go up about 10 miles you would see the curve.

That is not what i'm saying in the slightest. If you had any grasp on geometry and tangent points you would understand. I did not say you could see around the earth. It's simple trigonometry. Yes there is a limit on what you can see but that's not what i was saying. Do I need to draw another picture?
