    Sorry if it didn't make sense. If you move 30 000ft towards something and it doesn't appear to change size, it is a very large object from a very long distance.

        No one here is disputing the Earth is a very large pie shaped place.I have driven 3,000 miles on the highways of the grand US of A and truth be told, everything looks about the same size no matter where I drive. You have to agree, 3,000 miles is a much greater distance than 30,000 feet (about 15,8000,000' greater).

          Yes it sure is. but you are not moving towards the sun (unless driving towards the sunset/sunrise. And as you said: the sun doesn't appear to get bigger which means that it is a large object from a very far distance.

              No. I mean't that you are moving towards the sun if you drive towards the sunrise/sunset. If the sun is right above you, you will not really move towards it. And your religious friend seemes to agree with me.

                Static electricity will stick the paper to the baloon if you get enough friction or if it was already charged. When you jump in the air you do move but it is such a small distance you wouldnt realize it. Wheres the edge of the end of the world so I can climb off using a long piece of rope? The human eye can not see as far as you belive. In a city buildings will stop you from seing further down or if you are in a any other inviroment natural obsticles will hinder your sight.

                  Where are the scriptures to back these claims up?

                  I'll tell you what, you start walking East, and let us know how your repelling trip went. I suggest a fire-proof rope in case you go a little too far.
