I have a question for you...have you read the most recent TIME Magazine? it speaks of Hell as its main article and you should consider reading it. I believe that many evil doers will burn in hell forever, but not all non christians, what of Ghandi? he was a great man, and yet with your saying, he will burn in hell for what he has done...has he not earned Gods love and the kingdom of heaven?

Yes, Gandhi is burning in hell and he will never escape. You can NOT "earn" God's love. Sorry. All our works are as dirty rags before him. Belief in Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.

BUT I am afraid to say that you may be incorrect about who enters heaven and who doesnt, for Ghandi was praised by meny christians, powerful and not for his actions and is a fine example of how one should live their life, is that not something we strive for, living a full and "holy" life? Ghandi did it, so how are we to judge if he will be allowed in heaven?
maybe Ghandi was the reincarnation of Jesus that the bible fortold would come again, and he, like Jesus, was a test from God, and we failed?

I guess Im just a little confused, how can you follow the Bible word for word when you dont even know who wrote it? for all you know, it could have been one of the greatest scams in human history. plus, not everything written for the Bible was included, so whos to say in some of those books, there was proof that the earth was round? one book doesn't give you authority when there is no evidence that the book is even fact.

I have always thought that I should take the inspired word of God as a literal book. You say not all of it. Can you please let me know which of the following you don't think are literal and why not? I believe all of them 100%.

A donkey could talk,

The virgin birth,

Jesus walks on water,

Jesus rises from the dead,
