This is without a doubt the greatest load of hogwash I have ever read. You are obviously unaware of the most elementary concepts of physics. OF COURSE the Earth is round!!! People have known this for thousands of years! The reason we don’t feel the Earth moving is because we are moving WITH it. Here’s an experiment for you: if you jump inside the cabin of a moving train, you will land on the exact same spot from which you jumped, not hundreds of feet away. Does that mean that the train is not really moving? Of course not!


If the surface of the Earth has no curvature, then how do you explain that ships emerge upwards out of the horizon? Or that the length of the shadow of a same object is different depending on it’s latitude? How do you explain the sequence of the seasons? Or day and night? Or the existence of time zones? Or ocean tides? Or the shape of cyclones? Or the fact that the Moon is round?


Do you know that you can observe the curvature of the Earth from airplanes? There are pictures of the Earth from space that SHOW you that the Earth is round! If it wasn’t for the Earth’s spherical shape, there would be no satellites, no cellphones, no GPS, no internet. We wouldn’t even be able to be having this conversation!


Saying nonsense in the name of religion doesn’t make it true. It’s because of ignorant claims like these that religious believers are so often ridiculed. Such blind fundamentalism does an enormous disservice to Christianity. You do not enlighten, sir, you lead people astray.

An unbiased scientist always looks for alternative hypotheses and scrutinizes also data that do not fit one's preconceptions. Fortunately, regarding the theory of gravitation, that alternative theory does exist.



The alternative theory, Intelligent Pulling, God keeping us attached to the ground (through the action of angels of some other supernatural force) also has much more support than "gravity". While gravity is not mentioned in the Bible, there are strong indications of the alternative.

Based on this, you have to admit that "gravity" is only a theory. God has us covered and as a result we don't share your fear of falling off the Earth if "gravity" should fail.

Interesting premise, but your faith in this gravity is ill conceived and will contribute to your eternal damnation. A scientist would ask himself, what really is gravity? From what did it evolve? And why does it exist in the first place? It should come as no surprise to know science has never been very successful in answering these most basic questions about nature, and the problem of gravity is no different. Gravity has been poorly understood after nearly four centuries of scientific research, precisely because scientists conspire to keep its manifestation of Jesus' Divine Upholding a secret from the masses.

The True Christian™ however, requires no such research, as we know from what source all knowledge comes. Two Bible references are helpful in considering the nature of gravity and physical science in general. First, Colossians 1:17 explains that Christ is before all things, and by Him all things consist. The Greek verb for consist (sunistao) means to cohere, preserve, or hold together. As if that wasn't enough, a second reference, Hebrews 1:3, declares that Christ upholds all things by the word of His power. Uphold (in Greek, phero) again describes the sustaining or maintaining of all things, including gravity.

Thus we know things are held together not because of some gravitational pull, but because Christ Himself actively holds them together. Should He release His Divine Command and withhold His Divine Attraction, instant chaos surely would result. All heavenly objects, including the earth, moon and stars, would no longer hold together. Everything would immediately disintegrate into small fragments and wander around the solar system without rhyme or reason, without purpose or meaning, just getting in the way. Not unlike modern wiccans in urban parks and college campuses across the nation.

The straight alternative is the v0 arrow. It does not take you back to the place from where you started. In contrast, it takes you off the Earth for good to perish in "outer space" beyond the Firmament that God Created (Genesis 1:6).

The saddest thing about this website is the fact that everybody here seems sincere. You... people have obviously never heard of gravity, circumference or satellites. Or physics.

- We actually do move slightly (and by slightly I mean by a very, very tiny bit - too small for the inner ear to detect) west when we jump due to air pressure. We stay stationary for the most part, however, as our velocity is equal to that of the Earth's.

And if you believe that Jesus had some supernatural sight and visibility, then why don't you believe that somehow He SUPERNATURALLY saw all the kingdoms existing in that time? Maybe Jesus saw several kingdoms naturally and the rest of them in a vision? I mean it must be supernatural event, because as we see, it is not possible to see all the Earth even if you are on the top of the highest mountain.

I don't need a telescope when we own a yacht. I can assure you that when Mr. Brentwood and I have traveled around the world we almost fell off at the corners of Alaska, the tip of South America, Australia, and a few other 3rd world places. When our captain announced we must turn the boat around quickly, both Mr. Brentwood and I rolled right off our bed and into the wall. The captain wouldn't have done that to us unless the boat was teetering at the edge of the world. The Hebrew terminology of "from the four corners of the earth" exactly means "from four sides of the world (north south east west) or "from everywhere". That is how translation works. You can't translate word by word between 2 different languages.

I think (I hope) we both agree that God knows everything. Also, I think (I hope) we both agree that the Holy Bible was written by God's inspiration.

Therefore, I think (I hope) that we can both agree that God knew about all future possible translation issues, and inspired men who wrote the Bible to use words that can be easily translated from language to language without loosing their meaning over thousands of years?

Otherwise, if God inspired men who wrote the Bible to use whatever words that can change their meaning, that would be very cruel of Him, don't you think? I mean, what is the sense of giving people a Manual of Life if that manual is written in some impossible to truly understand jargon?!

If you translate "Dead End" literally to Macedonian language "Мртов Крај" it means a place where there are no people or just few people live, a desert, wild place.

Comparing "dead end" with "mrtov kraj" (sorry, my Cyrillic is beyond rusty, so I prefer to spell the words out in Latin transcription to make it easier for me to understand them) I still can see the linguistic resemblance/similar logic between these two meanings: both refer to a distant/remote place where there's nowhere to go. By the way, I find it fascinating that Macedonian "kraj" translates as "end" while in most Slavic languages it means "country." Is it because your ancestors made the very end of Europe their home country?

One more thing
Today American people by "earth" mean "the planet Earth", but what is translated as "earth" in Greek (γης) means: country, earth or earthly, ground, land, world.

Please forgive me, but I fail to understand how is the statement "the world is flat" different from "the earth is flat?"

You sound like my daughter who suffers from a delusion about music. No reasonable talk gets through to her, and any question is immediately followed up by another question. The function is of course to distract me and her father - and herself, as this delusion is painful, even as it is addictive. By attempting to distract us, she hopes to be released from the anxiety of facing the Truth, namely, her addiction is unhealthy and offensive and in need of discipline. Again. And again.

4. The viewing of all Earth at once is not restricted to Jesus:

If Jesus has supernatural power and He is not restricted of viewing of all the Earth, then why would He be restricted if the Earth is spherical?
Seems to be that if the Earth is flat Jesus has supernatural power but if the Earth is sphere Jesus is limited to the "natural laws" and He can't see the other side of the Earth. Why would Jesus supernatural power depends on the shape of the Earth?
Isn't He all-knowing and all-seeing?

This is a vision, a kind of a dream. Dreams don't usually correspond with reality. How do we know it was not a literal tree? Well as the Bible goes on, it tell us the meaning:


The actual tree is a symbolic tree and represents the King. His power was over all other kingdoms of the Earth. That is why it used the symbolism to suggest the tree was “seen by the ends of the earth.” It simply means the King’s power was a great influence that affected the whole Earth at the time, which historically was accurate.

5. All this is secondary. If the Bible cannot be trusted when it comes to the shape of the Earth, then it cannot be trusted regarding Jesus's Resurrection.

I agree with this, but the thing is that Bible really doesn't say that the shape of the Earth is flat.
