The Bible specifically says that the Whole Earth is visible from a single location (when it is high enough). This is only possible if the Earth is NOT a sphere. If you dismiss this, you actually claim that the Bible is lying, which ultimately leads to the issue of delusion, which we will discuss below.

You fail to understand that observations cannot be trusted. They have become flawed because of your sin of dismissing the Bible. However, all your 'experiments' can easily be explained with Creation Science, the discipline that examines the world's compatibility with the Bible.

1. We know very well that atmospheric scattering of light makes it impossible to see from one continent to another.

2. Day and night are caused by the Sun being above different points of the Earth at different times of the day. Atmospheric scattering prevents the light from going everywhere.

5. All this is secondary. If the Bible cannot be trusted when it comes to the shape of the Earth, then it cannot be trusted regarding Jesus's Resurrection. If the shape of the Earth is open to 'interpretations', Jesus's Resurrection is also open to 'interpretation'. Thus, your observations must be flawed as the Bible isn't!

Yet another person who seems to think the Bible could be wrong. Anyone knows you can see futher from high up. It's how light works. I am somewhat curious. You mention being an elder in a church, following Christ, how come you don´t cite scriptural evidence for your statements? This seems a bit odd, the Christians on this forum usually substantiate their claims using the Bible. Is something holding you back?

Seems to be that if the Earth is flat Jesus has supernatural power but if the Earth is sphere Jesus is limited to the "natural laws" and He can't see the other side of the Earth. Why would Jesus supernatural power depends on the shape of the Earth?
Isn't He all-knowing and all-seeing?

This is a vision, a kind of a dream. Dreams don't usually correspond with reality. How do we know it was not a literal tree? Well as the Bible goes on, it tell us the meaning:


The actual tree is a symbolic tree and represents the King. His power was over all other kingdoms of the Earth. That is why it used the symbolism to suggest the tree was “seen by the ends of the earth.” It simply means the King’s power was a great influence that affected the whole Earth at the time, which historically was accurate.

5. All this is secondary. If the Bible cannot be trusted when it comes to the shape of the Earth, then it cannot be trusted regarding Jesus's Resurrection.

You sound like my daughter who suffers from a delusion about music. No reasonable talk gets through to her, and any question is immediately followed up by another question. The function is of course to distract me and her father - and herself, as this delusion is painful, even as it is addictive. By attempting to distract us, she hopes to be released from the anxiety of facing the Truth, namely, her addiction is unhealthy and offensive and in need of discipline. Again. And again.

The Hebrew terminology of "from the four corners of the earth" exactly means "from four sides of the world (north south east west) or "from everywhere". That is how translation works. You can't translate word by word between 2 different languages.
I will give you even better example between English and my language (Macedonian) which is a lot more close to Hebrew and Greek (Greece is our south neighbor here)


In English "Dead End" means = an end of a road or passage from which no exit is possible.
If you translate "Dead End" literally to Macedonian language "Мртов Крај" it means a place where there are no people or just few people live, a desert, wild place.
So can you imagine what misunderstanding could appear if American would read literal translation from Macedonian texts?


One more thing
Today American people by "earth" mean "the planet Earth", but what is translated as "earth" in Greek (γης) means: country, earth or earthly, ground, land, world.

I think (I hope) we both agree that God knows everything. Also, I think (I hope) we both agree that the Holy Bible was written by God's inspiration.

Comparing "dead end" with "mrtov kraj" (sorry, my Cyrillic is beyond rusty, so I prefer to spell the words out in Latin transcription to make it easier for me to understand them) I still can see the linguistic resemblance/similar logic between these two meanings: both refer to a distant/remote place where there's nowhere to go. By the way, I find it fascinating that Macedonian "kraj" translates as "end" while in most Slavic languages it means "country." Is it because your ancestors made the very end of Europe their home country?

I don't need a telescope when we own a yacht. I can assure you that when Mr. Brentwood and I have traveled around the world we almost fell off at the corners of Alaska, the tip of South America, Australia, and a few other 3rd world places. When our captain announced we must turn the boat around quickly, both Mr. Brentwood and I rolled right off our bed and into the wall. The captain wouldn't have done that to us unless the boat was teetering at the edge of the world. The saddest thing about this website is the fact that everybody here seems sincere. You... people have obviously never heard of gravity, circumference or satellites. Or physics.
