-Toilets and whirlpools on the Southern Hemisphere flush and swirl in the opposite direction of those on the Northern Hemisphere. This dictates that the Earth is a sphere, because if it was a prism, it would flush/swirl the same direction as all other toilets/whirlpools.

Ha ha ha... The funny thing is that toilets and whirlpools does not swirl in the opposite direction depending on what hemisphere your in.

Hey, um, sorry for the dissenting opinion here, but I kind of want to bring up a slight argument with you're first postulate. I could do all three, but I don't really have time right now. The reason you don't land hundreds of feet away from the area that you jumped is because as the Earth is spinning, you are spinning with it. It's like if you were on an airplane. If you sit in an airplane, going hundreds of miles per hour, what happens when you throw a penny into the air? It lands right back down in your hand. That's because you, the penny, and everything else on the plane are going hundreds of miles per hour too. These theories of relative motion date back to Galileo. And, if you were in the bed of a truck and it is going a constant speed, not accelerating, and you jump, you'll land right back down where you started. I promise. Go ahead and try it. Same thing if you're on a bus that is going a constant speed (remember, not accelerating). I hope that you can see where I'm coming from on this. Can you disprove me?

Okay, here's another experiment for all of the idiots out there.

Take a stake and some rope (I really don't care how long).
GO OUTSIDE (why do I feel like I'll have a bunch of pissed off parents if I don't add that)
Hammer the stake into the ground
Tie one end of the rope to the stake and hold the other end
Start walking without letting go of the rope
Did you end up where you started?
Did you walk around a ball or on a flat surface?
DO YOU NOW UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN WALK IN A CIRCLE ON A FLAT SURFACE?

Hi John. Quite the run on paragraph, it makes it very hard to respond. But I read what you wrote and let me respond with a simple question for you.

If the Earth is rotating like you claim and is spherical like all you God hates want us to believe, why when flying to LAX from JFK is it a five hour flight and yet, when you fly from LAX to JFK, it is still a five hour flight. This supposed rotation of the Earth should make one direction faster than the other. I know when I get on a tread mill (the Earth spinning) and walk in the direction of the tread, I stay put. But if I walk against the direction of the tread, I would go flying.

The reason that you feel as though you walked around a flat surface in the above scenario is because of the very large size of the earth. You don't notice the curvature because it is such a large curve. Draw a very very very large circle and then look at just one little part of it. Does it looked curved or straight? It looks only slightly curved and mostly straight. This same concept applies to you and the way you observe the earth. The straight, flat plane of the earth that you are observing is called a "tangent line." Since the earth's curvature is so large, the piece of land on which you are standing looks straight. This concept has been used in calculus since the 16th century. If you were to go up high enough, as in to space, then you would notice the curvature of the earth.
