That claim was never made.

That is not what i'm saying in the slightest. If you had any grasp on geometry and tangent points you would understand. I did not say you could see around the earth. It's simple trigonometry. Yes there is a limit on what you can see but that's not what i was saying. Do I need to draw another picture?

Please, instead of drawing pictures that you mom will proudly display on her fridge, use scripture to back up your claims. Anyone can draw a picture.

The line between to two is to separate the round earth examples and the flat earth examples. the circles represent the earth, the vertical line repressents how high you are and the angled line going to the tanget point of the circles are your line of vision. i'm not trying to balance anything. i'm showing the tanget point of your vision on the curve of the earth. (The horizon) i'm showing the higher you go the farther your tangent point of vision will go. No check and mate you are ignorent. I'm using an advanced CAD/CAM software to illustrate this to you but you are to thickheaded to understand.

It indicates that at a certain distance, you will be able to see two points on the sphere that have parallel tangent lines, and no further.

There's no balancing involved to explain. They are scale drawings, not force diagrams.

The line, as MountainMan said, is there to separate the drawings of the sphere (shown in two-dimensions) and the plane (shown in two-dimension).

For starters, calling me thickheaded is an immediate red flag that means you have to resort to childish insults due to a lost discussion. Shame on you.

Next, while you may of created your picture in a software package, your ability to use it is sorely lacking. I hope you do not do this for a job, like designing power plants.

Your legend shows one inch equals .533.... inches. I can assure you, the Earth is larger than that.

'Ignorent' is spelled 'Ignorant'. Poor spelling just further weakens your comments and lessens plausibility.

You know perfectly well no human can see more than 10 or so miles. After that, it is blur. Had you read the ENTIRE thread, there are studies that have been presented that back this fact up.

THAT IS NOT WHAT MY PICTURE ILLUSTRATES!!! I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT BALLS BEING BALANCED!!! Why can you not comprehend that? i just showed this illistration to my 4 year old nephew and he understood it. what does that say about you guys. I don't think I can further explain this without coming to your homes with a basket ball, a yardstick, and a laser pointer. the basketball being the earth, the yardstick using to measure how far away you are and the laser pointer being your line of sight. (And you still probably won't understand the example)
