No, definitely not a messicant. Though I do speak Spanish, mostly due to my private school shoving down learning instead of Christ at it should have been. I'm sure there's something in the good book that can teach me how to forget the devil's tongue. Should have happened long ago on the tail end of a paddle with some nails in it, but my father was weak. Water is another problem for round-earthers; If the world were round, even if there were gravity, it would all just flow to the bottom.

And dare I say, keep going!

I just did a 4th experiment, where I poured a glass of water over the balloon. (Do this over a sink.) The water didn't "cling" to the sphere, or even all pool at the bottom. No, instead it slid off in torrents.

Ergo, if the earth indeed were a round ball, it would be a very dry round ball.

Indeed! Or they should do the wall squat. That was a favorite at the school my parents sent me to.

What you do, is make the child stand with its back to the wall. Then you make them squat down until their quads and knees burn and they fall down.

Great discipline! If you really want to do it up right, you make them hold their arms out crucifixion style and place books on their hands for them to hold up.

If they still won't listen, threaten them with tales of Brother Levi's paddle that has holes drilled in it for speed whippings.

1) Fails because he doesn't know anything about relativity. You aren't launched in the back of a train if you stand in there and jump do you? No, because your body is in motion at the same speed as the object you are standing on.
It's also the same law that makes a ball fall almost directly beneath you no matter what horizontal speed you're travelling at, because the ball is in the same speed as you, and only the force you exert on it will determine it's velocity and in which direction it'll go.

2) A balloon doesn't weight anything compared to the earth, if you compare the weight of a human compared to the small piece of paper. The gravitational pull of the earth is WAY more powerful than the one from the balloon, although every object exerts some kind of gravitational pull on objects. It's just that the billions of tonnes are just a tiny bit heavier than the few grams a balloon creates.. That's the law of universal gravitation. G= (gravitational constant) * M1M2/R1R2.
