What do you mean by "if you had read the Bible"? I have read the Bible, but am not going to use it to prove your right or wrong. There is a lot of scripture about love and forgiveness. That is what this worlds needs. Even if it is flat.

I can hardly believe the things I've read here. First of all it is hard to understand that someone can be convinced, anno 2010, that the earth is flat. With our modern transportation possibilities it would be an easy thing to see, if it was really the case. Satelites would also show us the earth is flat. People dive into the deepest oceans, they climb the highest mountains, so why shouldn't they travel to one of the four corners of the earth? If there was really something like that it would be a very popular destination for holidays e.g. If I had a travel agency, it would be in my personal top 3. So how comes all of this is no reality? Could it be the world is not flat after all?

But what really blows my mind, is how people can say they believe in God and the Bible and be so unloving and rude to others. We are not on this earth to judge other people. The Bible was not written to box one anothers ears. Jesus is loving and forgiving and so should we be instead of calling other people unsaved scum.
The majority of the postings handle about someone asking for a proper explanation of the "fact" that the earth is flat and all I see is a lot of beating about the bush, criticism and judging. Every now and then someone attempts to explain why the earth is flat, but couldn't convince me in any case.

And yes, I have read the Bible. Without trademark.

When an airplane travels from Europe to North America, how come they fly close to the northpole instead of just going in a straight line across the Atlantic ocean? I mean, if you believe the earth to be flat, it seems like they are making a major detour, yet it has been proven that they do not.

And please don't tell me anything about waves that are thousands of feet high, I mean come on really. Not even the latest big tsunami was that high. If those waves are that high, then why don't they flood the Netherlands for instance? I mean, their canals have absolutely no effect on waves that high, since the country itself is mostly below sea level. Or do you think that they also have banks that are thousands of feet high protecting their country? Are you saying that those waves would be higher than the mountains on land as well?? Or are you still claiming that they are "too far away to see"?

I think it's time to drag yourself out of the 1500's and into the 21st century. Basically what you're saying here is that every single image ever taken of the earth of a great enough altitude to show that it is round is a fake? How come there are no pictures proving it to be round? How come you have absolutely no calculations to back up any of your outragous claims?

Have you seen how tiny the windows are in those aeroplanes? They are about 12 inches wide and 18 inches (if that) high. THAT is why you can't see land and just ocean.

It also looks like you are saying that there cannot be deep sea levels if the earth is flat. LOOK back at Mistress Cookies "pie" analogy and that should help explain things further to you.

What basically happens is that the bullet will always end up to either side of where your crosshair is pointed, depending on if you are firing North, South, East or West. If the earth is flat and not moving even the slightest, how come the bullet does not fly completely straight? And please, do not answer with "your gun isn't sighted for that range" or "your gun is innacurate", it has been proven again and again and again that by taking the coreolis effect into consideration, the bullet flies true.

How far an eye can see, the thickness of the glass, gigantic tsunami waves, oceans that look like pies... Right. So, if the sea is not flat, but like a pie, then how come, if you throw a bunch of rocks into a bucket and pour water over it, the surface is still level, instead of full of "bumps"?

You would have to ask the airlines why they take certain fight paths. It does not mean the earth is round.
