Why did you upload (at least) one photoshopped picture? It only proves that it's easy to do so. It's not hard to automate this. It's called texture mapping.

And as I've already pointed out: the circumference of the earth is circular. Even the pictures you attached showed that. They even show the expected blur around the edges.
