Re: Science proves that black people look like apes.
I've got to say after reading through this thread that I'm ashamed to have ever known what faith is.
You all know the phrase "What would Jesus do?" Why don't you think about that for a second. This whole thread has perpetuated the same ideas that led a nation into what we refer to today as Nazism.
Feeling like I overstepped by saying that? The truth hurts, but by the time you've read this exact statement, you're already shaking your head in disapproval and thinking of the next retort to further perpetuate the egotistical nature in which this thread started.
If my elders were wise to the megalomania that fictional book(s) such as any bible alludes to, she would deviate immediately. But PEOPLE (actual people & not deities or omnipresence of any kind), have corrupted the lives and minds of people for generations.
If you're gonna believe science now, then you should also reconsider Dinostaurs, Cro-magnans, and Neanderthals. Or wait, are you just going to consider the things that are convenient for your religious beliefs? Lets switch from science to your great and holy book...
+ Why does God create people only to damn them? He inputs their personality, traits, and knows everything they will do before they do it... Why damn them from the start? Isn't that just as evil as the devil? He willingly creates some people to be evil and sent to hell from creation. That is fucked up.
+ Why was Job punished to settle a bet with the devil? Isn't that argument arbitrary and more humanistic than anything?
+ The Earth is less than 3000 years old. It is impossible to make 7.2 billion people from just Adam and Eve, in that amount of time. Get a calculator out and do the math. You devote your entire life to religion, spend a few minutes to "crunch the numbers".
