Wow, you guys give Christianity a bad name.

Jesus came to die for the whole world, all races. (John 3:16) If you have faith in Christ then you are a part of God's family, no matter your race, gender or background.

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus... There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26, 28).

It doesn't matter what you think someone looks like. We should love our neighbor with the same love that Jesus showed to us sinners when he died for us on the cross.

“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39).

You're confused, dear. You see, Jesus came to die for those who respond to the free gift of Salvation appropriately. Those who don't, are doomed already (John 3:18).

Yes, dear. IN Christ Jesus. If you're not IN Christ Jesus, then you are not a son of God (Matthew 12:30).

Quite. It matters what God thinks.

Read His Holy Word and find out!

Yes dear. As True Christians™, we know who our neighbor is. Do you?

      Exactly.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.

According to your link you believe Christians should only love other Christians, but this is contradicts the Bible. Jesus says that we should love our enemies and do good to those who hate us. (Matthew 5:43-45, Luke 6:27-36)

Here are a few of the things I've read in this thread.

These comments are very degrading and supercilious. Not the greatest example of Christian love.

Even if we were only supposed to love other Christians, these things you are saying are extremely unloving to all the black Christians out there.

Did you read the thread Mrs Etheldreda linked to? Because it's not "our link"; it's Scripture. You're effectively saying, "According to the Bible you believe Christians should only love other Christians, but this is contradicts the Bible." But there are no contradictions in the Bible, only paradoxes.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus quotes several Old Testament passages and adds a "but" to them. For example:

Mat 5:21-22a Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: BUT I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:

Mat 5:27-28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: BUT I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Mat 5:31-32a It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: BUT I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:

            Mat 5:33-34a Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: BUT I say unto you, Swear not at all;

Mat 5:38-39a Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: BUT I say unto you, That ye resist not evil:

Following the same formula, Jesus says:

            Mat 5:43-44 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. BUT I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

He was referring to Leviticus 19:18. Here's the verse in context.

Lev 19:17-18 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

Jesus Himself confirms that it was understood to mean "love your neighbor; hate your enemy." But He adds a "but" to His Father's Spirit-inspired Word. Now Jesus's teaching in no way contradicts the Old Testament. He makes that clear at the beginning of His sermon.

            Mat 5:17-20
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

He then proceeds to add "buts" to Old Testament laws. If you think this in any way makes God's Word contradictory, or if you can't understand it or reconcile it, then you are the one with the problem. I'm praying for God to open your eyes to understanding.

In Matthew 5, Jesus is contrasting the old covenant with the new covenant. The old covenant (eye for an eye, judgement, etc.) was fulfilled in Christ when he bore our punishment. Now we live in the new covenant, (love and grace). Now it is possible to love our enemies because Jesus took the punishment that we all deserve.

              Matthew 5:43-48
You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Also, you ignored all of the white supremacist things that people are saying here.

Ahh, the liberal false Christian. It's so simple for you folks. "Jesus died for the better part of a weekend for my sins, and so now it's all right." Oh, and "love everyone," which, of course, means "be nice to me, while I, at the same time, will come uninvited into YOUR forum and contradict, insult, and generally be mean to you."

The Bible has no contradictions, as has already been explained. If you think "love and grace" means you cannot go to Hell for sinning, then you are simply wrong. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death, which means being eternally cut off from God. And have a look at Matthew 13:42. Not a pretty picture for the sinner.

And so, in fulfilling our Christian mission (Mark 16:15), we try to warn people away from sin. Away from gaysexualism, which is a slap in the face to Jesus himself (for proof that Jesus ESPECIALLY HATES QUEERS, watch this inspired video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqPPfDmJG-g), away from video games, etc.

And here you come, encouraging us to STOP turning people away from Hell because it might hurt somebody's feelings. You want to see all of these people in Hell.

Who is the hater now, Smarty Pants?
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

But people were Christians before Jesus came. Abraham was a Christian. Jesus said:

Jn 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad.

God preached the Gospel to Abraham back in Genesis.

                  Gen 12:1-3
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

We know that this is the Gospel because Paul tells us:

Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

All True Christians™ are children of Abraham. We share the same faith he had.

Gal 3:7, 9 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

There is no other Gospel. If the Gospel God preached to Abraham seems foreign, then you have believed a false Gospel.

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Moses and Elijah were also Christians, for they believed in Jesus and knew he would temporarily die for their sins.

                  Lk 9:28-36
28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment [was] white [and] glistering.
30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

King David was also a Christian, for Jesus was his Lord.

                  Mat 22:42-45
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, [The Son] of David.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

The heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11 are set forth as examples for the Christian. Among them, Abraham is commended to us for being willing to sacrifice his son (Heb 11:17-19). Isaac is commended to us for being tricked into blessing the wrong son (Heb 11:20). Gideon, who later in his life became an idolater, is commended to us, as is Samson, who killed hundreds of Philistine men and women and himself, and Jephthah, who sacrificed his own daughter and killed 42,000 of his own countrymen (Heb 11:32). All of these OT saints received a good report for their faith (Heb 11:2, 39). Their faith pleased God (Heb 11:5-6). They are witnesses who inspire us to look to Christ and run the race set before us (Heb 12:1-2). But more than that, they believed they would go to heaven after they died, the same heaven we believe in.

                  Heb 11:10, 13-14, 16
10 For he [Abraham] looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.
13 These all [Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah] died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

So my point is, if these Old Testament saints were really Christians before Jesus took the punishment for their sins, why would they have a different set of rules? Why would certain things be okay for them but not for us, and vice versa?
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? You don't think warning someone of the imminent danger in which they are is a loving act?

The funny thing about facts is, they don't care if they hurt your feelings. I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but sometimes the Truth hurts.

This is a doll of a baby ape...you do know that right? I have seen some black babies that look a bit chimp like, and I have seen plenty of white babies that have little rat faces. The truth is that some babies have a face that only their mothers could love.
