The theory of evolution proposes that evolution is a process which occurs over incredibly long periods of time by means of natural selection. 40 years in a lab is neither long nor natural.

So you're saying you believe whatever nonsense ScIeNtists feed you without any actual proof? How ridiculous! If they told you that the universe is millions of years old without having any shred of real evidence, would you believe that too? Or what about the theory that evilution started when there was nothing in the universe except for one tiny little ball, then that just exploded all by itself and everything came into being? You don't care how silly any of this sounds, do you? Not as long as it gives you an excuse to further turn your back on God!
Anyway, as I said earlier, case closed. Any more yammering on this subject despite how you've been proven wrong without a shadow of a doubt just shows how badly Satan as scrambled your brain.

Well, Sacha, I think you're dead wrong, but you seem to be a thoughtful, open-minded person who is honestly seeking the truth. We think that we are that way, too. So let's explore how our views differ from yours:

That's very convenient. How, exactly, is evolution by natural selection a scientific theory if there's no way to test it? Can you name a single other scientific theory that is still widely believed even in the absence of evidence for 40 (well, really 150) years?

The other part says that fossils have yet to provide conclusive evidence for evolution. So what? 100 years ago there was no conclusive evidence of DNA, but now, with a powerful enough microscope we can physically see DNA, even extract it from cells.
Now I see. It's kind of like how, 100 years ago, there was no conclusive evidence that the Moon was made of cheese, but now, with a powerful enough telescope, we can... oh, wait, the Moon really isn't made of cheese. The logic is exatly the same. Being unable to test a hypothesis with current technology is not an argument that the hypothesis is correct. It's just an argument that the hypothesis is not scientific.

To be a little less flippant, there were lots of people 100 years ago who thought that the genetic material was protein (nobody that I know of even speculated that it was in the nucleic acids). They didn't have the technology to test their idea. That didn't prove their idea wrong. But it was wrong, nevertheless.

Just because something is currently undiscovered, it doesn't mean that it is necassarily fake.
That is true. But I thought the whole point of science, and most "scientific" arguments against religion, was that you don't accept a hypothesis until you have evidence to prove it. Isn't that just basic logic?

Unlike evolutionists, we do have real proof that the Bible is true. It's called prophesy.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that every single word is 100% correct. So, if even one prophesy in the Bible is false, then I will concede that nothing in the Bible is true. But I have yet to hear any scientist (or anyone else) show that any of our prophecies is wrong.

At the same time, many of the Biblical prophecies have come true. Now, I've read every book that Darwin wrote (yes, including the treatise on earthworms). Nowhere did Darwin, writing in the 19th Century, predict anything as unlikely as the formation of the nation of Israel (he didn't any evidence for his theory either, though he did talk at great length about the breeding of pigeons). Yet the prophet Isaiah predicted this very thing 3,000 years ago:

Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. Isaiah 43:5-6

So, Isaiah said, he will bring the Jews from the east and west (almost all Middle Eastern Jews migrated to Israel shortly after it became a nation). He will tell the north and south to let their Jews return to Israel (both Russia to the north, and Ethiopia to the south, had to be persuaded before they let Jews leave). This is all pretty specific stuff.

You can see how 99 other Biblical prophecies have been fulfilled HERE.

    Next contestant.
    Right back at you.

I'm not sure if Cobaltos, the original starter of this thread, is still checking in on it, but if he is...

Let us imagine that a simple experiment could be performed which would show that the mechanisms of evolution -- it's tools -- either function to change the form of organisms over time, or that they fail miserably.

(As a literate fellow, you know that these tools are heritablity of traits, selection of breeding stock, and natural variation.)

Let us suppose that such experiments had been carried out by mankind for several thousand years, using as raw material -- hypothetically -- the ancestral dog. If such experiments were successful, then one would expect to see today dogs of all shapes and sizes produced by those who used selection of breeding stock, heritablity of traits, and natural variation to their advantage.

The evidence is in on that one.

Fortunately, dogs are all one species and can interbreed, so although a rational person might claim proof of concept with regards to evolution, a person of faith can still deny that the differences between a dachshund and a doberman pinscher have anything to do with evolution at all.

So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:21

God created all creatures just as they are -- according to their kinds. Period. Slam dunk. Let's call it a day and go out for ice-cream.

    ----

Let us also note that in America over half of the population believe that Darwin was wrong and creationism is right. Worldwide the figure is in the low single digits.

That is why America is God's favorite nation.

Creationism! Remember, it's not spelled cretinism anymore! And it's just the way God wants it.

Because all humanity is so evil we are damned to Hell unless we accept Jesus. The fall of Adam thing, remember that? Indians aren’t animals, just people like you and me. That means they are under Adam’s Curse too.

How can they not know? They came from the Old World originally. Even the secularist concede that with their absurd date of the Indians arriving in America 4,000 years before the world was created. The Indians chose to get as far from God as possible.

Yes, ALL are sinful and worthy of Hell friend unless the repent. You claim to be a Christian this is basic Christian theology. Nobody is an innocent. Remember even Jesus Himself had to repent and be baptized. If the Son of God is under the curse of Adam's sin then American Indians clearly are.

As I said before everyone was condemned long before with Adam. Jesus only showed up to save those God has decided in His mercy were redeemable. It if God who says we humans are hideously evil and He should know since He created us.

The theory of evolution posits a process of self-transformation from simple life forms to more complex life forms, which has never been observed or duplicated in a laboratory.[7][8] Although not a creation scientist Swedish geneticist, Dr. Heribert Nilsson, Professor of Botany at the University of Lund in Sweden, stated: "My attempts to demonstrate Evolution by an experiment carried on for more than 40 years have completely failed. At least, I should hardly be accused of having started from a preconceived antievolutionary standpoint."[9]
In respect to the creation versus evolution controversy, the fossil record does not support the theory of evolution and is one of the flaws in theory of evolution.[10][11][12] Even evolutionist Mark Ridley, who currently serves as a professor of zoology at Oxford, stated the following: "In any case, no real evolutionist, whether gradualist or punctuationist, uses the fossil record as evidence in favour of the theory of evolution as opposed to special creation."[13] The fossil record will be discussed in greater detail in regards to why the fossil record does not support the theory of evolution and is decidedly counter evidence to the evolutionary position.

By the process of elimination. The KJV1611 is based on documents in continuous use by Christians since the ancient period. The NHV and those other "bibles" are based on a 6th century document found in the trash in Egypt in the 19th century. To argue the NHV is God's word is to go back to saying God is incompetent or uncaring.

Saying all those Christians in the 1,600 years the NHV was lost were reading false scripture is absurd. Clearly they were good Christians and God’s chosen elect as shown by the way God favored Europe (and later America) over all others of the time. This is not like the case of the American Indians who were too lazy and sinful to make the effort the cross the Atlantic to learn Christ’s message. The American Indians richly deserved the damnation their so called “ignorance” bought them. No, the text the NHV is based on was thrown out by God for a reason, it is false.

God is perfect, God wrote The Bible so The Bible is perfect. The reader is human and therefore imperfect. Therefore any contradictions or mistakes are the reader’s fault since he is the only imperfect thing there.
