That would be the sides of the firmament.

I'm not sure, but I would assume they are guarded by angels.

The sun is probably directed light, like a spotlight. That's why it can be sunny in one place, twilight in another, and dark in yet another.

The sun doesn't move in the same path year round. In the summer, the sun moves in a tighter circle closer to the center, meaning the center is always lit, and the edge doesn't get any light at all. In the winter, the sun is in a larger circle following close to the edge, and the center doesn't get any light.

Because things look smaller when they are further away.

For an omnipotent being, all tasks are equally easy. No matter what shape you pick, it isn't any easier or harder for God to make the earth into that shape.

A picture is worth a thousand words here. Perhaps this will help you understand:

Also, earth can't bend light so much as to have light everywhere on earth. You would need an earth with much much more mass.

Or, the earth is indeed flat, but also shaped like a pizza, with 4 elephants, stanting on a giant turtle, holding it. Just like in Discworld by Terry Pratchett!

    That makes sence!

I guess it has something to do with the extrapolation of an extra dimension. Kooky, huh?
Or it could just be a sphere!

Nah. that makes too much sense. Even though pictures and videos of the earth and all the other planets show them as spheres. Even though we have spacecraft orbiting Mars and Saturn and have sent men to the moon and have countless satellites orbiting the earth as well as a space station.

Nah. Even though we have cellphones and satellite TV and the internet and global positioning systems all using sattelites orbiting the earth.

Its all has made up because a 2 thousand year old book written by relative primative people and translated and edited several times could not possibly be wrong.. Could it???

Why would 90% of the earth's population believe that the earth is round and have highly detailed maps showing every spot on the planet.

Nah it just can't be true could it???

The further out from America, the more godless the inhabitants. We would give no help to those Unsaved who would investigate satanic realms. Be assure overseas is awful; only the fittest and strongest and those with an unshakeable Faith ever travel outside the boundaries of God’s Favorite Country.

The Department of Faith has legislation ready to enact which will restrict overseas travel to True Christians™

There is an informative map here. This is all you really need to know

No, take BACK the world from the secularist Jesus-haters.

Sarah Palin is on our side. Won't you join us? After all, she'll be President by March (after McCain has a stroke).

Good thing that inquisition or any similar movements are now forbidden by law but it can be dangerous the same say...for instance what happened to Sophie Lencaster. This kind of hatred-motivated murders happen every day and sites like this promote it. There's been petitions to shut this down because of fraud and possible danger but yet nothing has been done.
You're so concerned about Sophie Lancaster that you can't even bother to spell her name correctly?

Let's see . . . one post, you're claiming we're all making a joke. Then you say that we're horribly dangerous and there have been "petitions" to silence our freedom of religious expression.

Clearly, you're not an American if you support such things.

Now, to reiterate: Sophie Lancaster was not murdered. She was EXECUTED for being a WITCH. That is GOD'S COMMANDMENT.

    Get it yet?

We would NOT revive the Inquisition, as that was a Catholic perversion. We ARE, however, supporters of Christian Reconstruction, also known as "Dominionism".

Christian Reconstructionism arose out of conservative Presbyterianism in the early 1970's. Followers believe "that every area dominated by sin must be 'reconstructed' in terms of the Bible." 1
Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to peacefully convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.

All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. At that time that this essay was originally written, this was the only religious movement in North America of which we were aware which advocates genocide for followers of minority religions and non-conforming members of their own religion. Since then, we have learned of two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans.
Now, can we please return to the topic of the thread, the fact that the Earth is flat?

The Department of Faith will be the organ of choice - the Inquisition was a vile, godless invention of sadistic, satan worshippers gathered together in the largest business conglomerate the world has ever seen - the church of Rome.

They have an interesting spell corrector here huh.

For instance if I wanted to call everyon here a m.o.r.o.n. and type m.o.r.o.n. it translates it to mormon.

See the webpage for the details. Or rent Space Cowboys. Did you think that was real, too? That Clint Eastwood really went into "space"? It's called a fantasy story, just like the Narnia stories, or Star Wars.

The so-called "space program" is merely a means to divert billions of taxpayer dollars into the pockets of thieving Demoncrats.

I guess you missed the whole point about light bending, huh? It's an optical illusion.

I'm not sure what that has to do with fake moon landings. However, try reading THIS.

Do you think that several hundred thousand posts is some sort of joke?

We are as serious as the very fires of God's Hell, Feebthinker! We give God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit every ounce of the love and respect He deserves!

Wouldn't you like to go to Heaven with us, and spend eternity servicing God and praising Him without ceasing?
Mythbusters looked at all the "moon landing was faked" myths and busted them all.
