Are we supposed to believe that just on your say-so? Where's your proof? God says the Earth doesn't move.Originally posted by boondox View Postthat might be true if the sun revolved around the earth. but it doesnt. the earth revolves around the sun.
1Chr 16:30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
Ps 93:1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
Ps 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
The Bible also clearly and consistently describes the Earth as being set up on foundations, and the sun and moon as lights that move across the sky.
I believe I'll take God's word over the say-so of some random internet troll.

Re: Flat Earth? Hell Yes!
At last! A sensible question from a person open-minded enough to learn something! Ahem!, Your answer is, "God did it." That, Jessev, is not only AN answer, it is THE answer and is the PERFECT answerOriginally posted by jessev View PostWell, perhaps you don't agree with his interpretation. But can you then explain to me how your interpretation is better?
For someone who's a secular "so-called" scientist, your powers of observation are poor - Look at the banner above, "Guaranteeing Salvation Since 1620"!And I wasn't aware that the Landover Baptist school existed in the 1700's.

Well, perhaps you don't agree with his interpretation. But can you then explain to me how your interpretation is better? And as for sites with multiple font colors. It's a fairly decent way of organizing a page, is it not? Makes it easier to tell the difference between different things. And I'm not really sure what a tinfoil hat has to do with anything, to be honest. And I wasn't aware that the Landover Baptist school existed in the 1700's. Has it been around that long? If so, that's pretty cool at least. Few places from that time still exist. Except for certain forts and other such stone structures.

Of course it doesn't, because we wouldn't be able to see it otherwise.Originally posted by jessev View PostSo, all in all, our sun is not even close to having enough mass or density to trap light.
Besides, we've already established the size of the sun in another thread. Meet me over there in about half an hour and I will have calculated the mass.

It's a bit much. Did you just prove the universe in twelve sentences? I think not.Originally posted by jessev View PostThat's all I'm going to say here. Sorry if it's a bit much.
