You're all retarded... why don't you go join the Westboro guys and reproduce? Then your children can be guaranteed to be born with no brains, just like evolution says!

The picture is wrong because of the water cycle. We don't drink pee, per say; we drink water that has been cleaned by the earth. Lemme say it this way: You know how you grow crops? You fertilize. With manure. Which is the same thing - animals excrete out processed food and it gets recycled to make more food. It's what we call a cycle (SIGH-kule.) Can you say that? Here's how we get water:

Water -> Drink -> Urinate -> Earth turns into pure water through evaporation and rain. Then we drink it. I know that things taught in the third grade are a little hard to grasp, but hey, you can read King James and comprehend it, then... oh wait. You can't comprehend it!

Fun facts for kids about the Water Cycle. Includes photos, activity suggestions and some printable worksheets.

      ---------------------
Darwin's Theory of Evolution is a theory, yes, but theory in scientific terms is different from non-scientific usage. Essentially, think of science as a language different from ours with these things called "false cognatives" - words meaning something different but spelled completely the same.

"The word theory in the theory of evolution does not imply mainstream scientific doubt regarding its validity; the concepts of theory and hypothesis have specific meanings in a scientific context. While theory in colloquial usage may denote a hunch or conjecture, a scientific theory is a set of principles that explains observable phenomena in natural terms.[168][169] "Scientific fact and theory are not categorically separable",[170] and evolution is a theory in the same sense as germ theory or the theory of gravitation.[171]"

I know that might be hard for you to read, so tl;dr Theory in science =/= theory in colloquial (modern, contemporary) English.

      -----------------------

The Bible is re-adapted. I do believe it says...

1.Leviticus 19:27 reads "You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard."
2.Leviticus 11:8, which is discussing pigs, reads "You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you."
3.Leviticus 19:31 reads "Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God."
4.Leviticus 11:10 reads, "But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you."
5.Deuteronomy 25:11-12."If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity."

So, you can't have round haircuts nor harm your beard, you can't play football or eat sausage, you can't read horoscopes or stars, you can't eat seafish, and your wife can't defend you in a fight/life threatening situation by attacking the man's testicles (those are the things at the base of the penis that create sperm.)
      ----------------------------

Start using logic, and start using your heads. Our God gave us free will, true, but it's not so we could run around being retards and smiting everyone with a different opinion than us. You're free to believe what you want, but I don't think our God is a vengeful one. He loves us, yes, even you guys, and he wants us be knowledgeable about the world, not complete idiots. You've proven nothing wrong except the hypothesis that states "Does the average user of landoverbaptist.net have a brain that could successfully be used to counter an argument?".

I love your spirit. I might not be the right one to compliment you, since I am an atheist and you're not. You are more in the liberal Christian tradition. I was brought up as a Southern Baptist, but even that's liberal compared to this church!!

I've been getting infractions left and right since I came here in December. Most of them are baffling. The only thing I learn from them is that sooner or later they're going to get me and they will pick the time and place.

You're the ignorant one – and apparently aren't interested in furthering your education by reading.

Maybe a little thought experiment will illustrate the principles outlined at the start of this thread (if you even bothered to read it).

Take an 8 quart stock pot and fill it with water from your tap. Every time you need to drink water take it from said stock pot. Now every time you need to pee put your urine into the same stock pot. After a couple of weeks that stock pot is going to become pretty rancid. It really doesn't matter if you boil some of the contents of the stock off and distill it and return it to the stock pot because the stock pot is going to become increasingly concentrated with urine as time goes on.

Basically God made the earth with a finite amount of water on it. The article does the calculations that prove that the earth can't possibly be billions of years old as the "scientists" claim because all the rivers, lakes and oceans would be concentrated with urine by now – the exact same thing that would happen with the stock pot experiment noted above. It doesn't matter how much evaporation takes place because it eventually rains down again as water that mixes with the already increasing concentration of urine.
There is no point in wasting our time with you answering your other groundless assertions.

All you've proven is that our water isn't perfectly pure? The ratio of cleaned water to dirty water is more than enough to make it safe (well, sometimes) for human bodies. Why don't you try using, you know, sound logic rather than baseless logic?

All secular logic is baseless. Jesus is the rock that we build our Faith on. You should too, Phil.

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

Secular logic is not "baseless", because the LORD gave his children this knowledge. Sir, do you see the doctor when you are ill? If your child broke a bone, would you not take them to the ER to get it fixed?
That is secular science, and by doing so, you are a hypocrite of your word.

Jesus is the Rock, the Truth, the Way, the Shepard, yes. But bad things that happen are NOT the LORD's will. He is there with us, when these things happen, by our side. It is Satan's will, because he wants us to believe that the LORD caused these things and to turn away from Him.

Turn to 2 Peter 3:8 in your NKJ. "One day is like a thousand years"
This statement is a simile, a comparison using like or as. It is not literal, as the previous posts have indicated. It is showing us that such a long time as such as 1000 years, is just a blink of the eye for the LORD. I believe that secular science is right, and the Earth has been around for millions of years. In the beginning, it was simply 7 days to our LORD and saviour. Isn't that incredible? It's things like that that make me so excited to be reunited with my LORD. He is so incredible.

Now, I think Phil has a right to believe however he believes. It is our job as children of the LORD to give him our testimony. However, being disrespectful? Not so much. I'd appreciate in your response to my own post, that you show me as much respect as I have shown you.

I don't understand why people keep trying to find evidence that God Almighty exists. It's obvious as the sky.

Try an experiment; yell out your window "If God doesn't exist, may I be struck by lightning!"

You won't be struck by lightning. Know why? Because God exists, and is the One and Only Lord.

Repent from your sins and embrace Jesus, our savior.

How hypocritical that you can give me the trappings of African-American stereotypes but I can't use the word you were thinking when set them up. How about either removing the infraction (100 points) or imposing an infraction on whoever came up with the watermelon and stealing the television set.

Now we have that clear, i'm going tot say what I think about this topic.

We (The christians) state that we believe in the bible and accept that as the truth. In the bible there is no scripture about how the water system works, so this means we cant argue about this using the bible.
Furthermore, we are arguing with atheist, who do not believe in the bible, so they wont see using the bible as a valid argument.

So the OP is claiming water can run out.
I think there are enough arguments to show it can not run out..
Does it matter for proving the bible right or wrong? No, because there is nothing about it in the bible. This is pure theoretic to prove theoretic wrong...

God just created a magnificant system called the water cyclus. You can argue all you want saying it isnt, but you can do a litle test yourself to see it is. Get a big cointainer of some sort, fill it with dirt and in the middle dig in a bowl of water.. Also if you want you can put in a small sponge to represent living creatures absorbing water. Now cover it all with plastic foil to represent the admosphere. Now as final touch place a heating lamp above it all, a few inches away to avoid melting foil. Keep it there for like an hour and see whats going on... the boil of water will be emptied, the sponge will be dry and the dirt will be wet. The plastic foil will also be wet and moistured. This is how it works and its ingeniusly designed by God. (thats what I believe)

If you dont believe in God i'm sorry about that, but it doenst make you less human in my eyes. I believe Jesus died for us all and His love was for us all. Its up to us to accept Him, but we shouldnt hate those who dont believe it. Remember what Jesus did to sinners? He ate with them, joined them in their houses. Thats the examle we as christians should follow. Show the world love and not try to prove them wrong and evil.
Wow the first christian that proves by his words that he has a brain.
