The term "Oriental" was frequently used to describe Asia in general. The Middle East is considered a part of Asia.

"Orientalism" referred to the study and depiction of Asia in works of science or art. Most forms of Orientalism focused on the Middle East.

Now, when most people think of the term "Oriental", they think of East Asians, as opposed to we Southwest Asians.

I fail to see any racism behind my post, but I apologize if it offended you in some way.

Solomon was considered the wisest man of his time because of how he handled his hundreds of strange women. However, he also sowed the seeds of religious discord in Palestine by allowing them to worship their strange gods openly. Within a year of his death the kingdom of Palestine was ripped apart at the seams and undid all the previous work of Joshua, David, and Solomon himself. No more kingdom, instead Israel and Judah.
