You call me unsaved scum but say you follow the word of God and Jesus "to the letter". In that case, when did love thy neighbour stop being relevant? ...Boasting an alcohol content of 8.2%, each sachet contains 60g of red powder which you stir into boiling water. The result, it’s claimed, is an instant Gluhwein that’s just perfect for restoring the energy of weary hikers...

Carbon datingOriginally posted by DerpHerpBurp View PostNo it hasn't it is accurate down to 96.4%
thats EXTREMELY accurate when you're dealing with billions of years, that extra 3.6 % is just +/- a hundred thousand years
I don't quite understand that. Could you explain how Carbon dating works for me please?

EDIT: 3·6% of 10bn is 360,000,000, not 100,000

Re: Water Proves Atheism is False!
for one, I didn't quote anything, everything I said was paraphrased, and I didn't steal from anyoneOriginally posted by Zechariah Smyth View PostTell me this:
Have you ever held uranium in your hands?
Do you have any documented proof (i.e., contemporary writings from the time you speak of) that the earth is billions (
) of years old?
These are the kinds of questions that True Christians™ get when we talk about our faith. I'm sure you will have no problem being held to the same standard.

YiC,
Z. Smyth
we don't need evidence FROM that time period, if a tree is planted, and 40 years later it is measured to be 40 years old, the same concept applies, we don't need to observe it being planted
Also, you can't hold uranium in your bare hands, your hands would catch fire because the radiation makes it SO hot.
but heres a picture of someone holding a very large sample of uranium with coated lead gloves

Also here is a brief article on Rhenium-Osmium dating with sources to it's findings on the Mississipian-Devonian era, it also includes standard deviation to account for error and by my surprise the findings were very well done
