I am so confused. You're suggesting that when God said,

"Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters," (Genesis 1:6),

He really meant, "Let there be a bunch of steam alongside this hot, molten ball of rock which will one day cool off, whereby eventually the waters can be divided from the waters."

Friend, you cannot have it both ways. God and Bible are not 'swingers'.

Think of it this way. God came up with all the answers first. No 'theories', 'guesses' or 'plausible explanations'. He said this is how it is and explained to us as much as He deemed we needed to know. Sure, it would be great to know how He did everything just like it would be great to know how a magician does his tricks. But that would remove some of the excitement, thrill and wonder. I am just pleased He does not strike me down with some horrifying infirmity.
Do this, go into a bar. Find the biggest, toughest looking drunk. Disagree with him on every point. Let me know how you make out. Especially when you realize the answers are nothing compared to the questions.

How do you know that? Were you there? Why do you think that your speculation is more accurate than the Bible, which is God's Word?

If you think God can't even tell us how the Earth was made correctly, AND HE WAS THERE, how can you trust Him for moral matters?

Do you see how ridiculous it is to pick and choose the parts of the Bible you want to believe?

Why would you trust the morality of God if you believe He has lied to you?

A disbelief in God leads people to eternal damnation. Why would God put what you believe to be false statements in the Bible? Would a moral God try to trick people like that?

People questioning the Bible has led to all this "secular humanism" nonsense these days, and "sexual freedom" and "equal rights for women and homosexuals".
