    Where does the Bible say to be nice? It says to love your enemies as well as your friends in Matthew 5

    43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
    44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

    Does love include tolerating sin? Of course not. Look at what Jesus is quoting.
    Leviticus 19:17-18 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
    18Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

    Love includes telling people when they are doing wrong things like drugs.

      Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

      It says it right there, be nice to one another and quit tryin to judge for we are all sinners, peace and love brothers and sisters

        To whom is Paul writing in the Epistle to the Ephesians?
        That would be fellow believers, hippie.

        Jesus says essentially the same thing while speaking with His disciples in John 13:34-35

        A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
        By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

        Sure we are to be sweet and kind to one another, but at the same time we are to forcefully preach the Word as Brother Jedediah pointed out with 2 Timothy.

            No, it's you walking into a thread about the maryjane and suddenly caring about it, while claiming you don't use it.

            No one is buying your story, cheech.

              In these verses, we are beseeched by Paul to be kind, forgiving, and tenderhearted toward one another - not to unsaved trash - that is, toward our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. This is so as not to sow discord among Christian brethren, in accordance with Proverbs 6 (particularly verses 14 and 19).

              But are we brothers with those who reject Christ's kind offer of Redemption? No. The Holy Bible tells us that True Christians™ are children of God (John 1:12, I John 3:2, Romans 8:14, etc.) while unsaved trash are children of the devil (John 8:44, I John 3:8, etc.). Can the children of God be considered to be brethren of the children of satan?

              Further, your vain assertions that we are all sinners and that it is not our place to judge righteous judgment flies in the face of the verses of Scripture I have posted for your edification previously. Would you like for me to repeat myself, or can you be bothered to re-read the Spirit-guided knowledge I have already posted for you this evening?

                  Son, the marihuana is clearly affecting your motor skills. I hope you do not plan on operating any heavy machinery in the next 24 hours. If I knew where you lived, I would be notifying the authorities to be on high alert for impaired motorists throughout the night.

                  I can hardly decipher any meaning from your unpunctuated string of words. When you sober up, please try again. I would like to know what semblance of a point you are trying to make.

                    Sure, go puff your cheeb and leave here thinking that Jesus is all peace and rainbows.

                    You won't even address the scriptures that Brother Jedediah so meticulously gathered for you. You just want to stomp your feet, plug your ears and scream, "LALALALALALALALA Jesus Loves the Little Children..."

                    I have news for you, pal. Jesus is going to return and He is going to kill a lot of people! I pray you and your dope smoking pals aren't on the tracks when the Locomotive Jesus comes through.

                    Ezekiel 9:2-7 2And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
                    3And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
                    4And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
                    5And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
                    6Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
                    7And he said unto them, Defile the house (alternately temple), and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

                            You're right, son. We don't like abusing God's temple with dangerous narcotics. I also note that you are unable to back up any of the vain assertions you have made with regard to God's Word. Perhaps when you sober up, you can review the Scripture I have provided for your edification.

                            If you decide that you do indeed care about the welfare of your eternal soul, please come back and tell us about your plan to overcome the demons of narcotics abuse. We know counselors in almost every state and can refer you to someone to help you in your time of need.

                              It's pointless trying to talk sense into drug addicts like this one Brother, their brains are like lumps of rotten cheese. Sad really, I doubt if even God himself could make Tom Bob see the errors of his drug addled ways. I'm kind of surprised Jesus bothered to lead him to us, being that he was so far gone and all. The mercy and love our sweet Lord has for the dregs of society never ceases to amaze me! Glory!

                                Two years ago I was smoking cannabis almost all day, every day. Then one day I had what is called an 'acute psychotic episode' and had to be hospitalised. (I say one day but the whole thing lasted more than a month.)
                                Basically what this means is that I lost touch with reality. I started hearing and seeing things that weren't real, believing that people were out to get me and that I had to protect myself, and talking in an almost incomprehensible way to the people around me. I also acted in a very irrational way.
                                The doctors said that this was almost definitely caused by my drug abuse. Thanks to the doctors' help and the fact that I haven't smoked since, the damage to my brain has been repaired.
                                I have come to understand the chemistry and biology behind what happened to me but I would also be interested in a biblical interpretation, if anyone here has one.
                                i.e. Did I allow the devil to harm me or was god punishing me for my sinful behaviour? or something else?
