Written in Coptic, an Egyptian language, the opening reads (in translation):

"The Gospel of the lots of Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ, she to whom Gabriel the Archangel brought the good news. He who will go forward with his whole heart will obtain what he seeks. Only do not be of two minds."

So we're supposed to believe that something matters just because it was written in an ancient manuscript in a language that would later die out except for liturgical use? As we True Christians™ know, it doesn't work that way.

Also, as for a "previously unknown gospel," didn't someone once say something about that? Oh, yes, here it is:

I note that the book is only 1500 years old, so Mary must have been a little over 600 years old when she wrote it.

If it were mine, I'd be looking to sell it to that damnable Father Mo: those catlickers go in for that sort of stuff, don't they? They won't be too bothered by Deuteronomy 18:10-12 they'll just rustle up some jesuits to find an excuse as to why divination is fine.

She was favoured because God chose her, not the other way around.

Unless she was Born Again (and I can't recall any Scripture that says she was), then she's no different than you, and God saw her as a pile of dirty menstrual rags (Isaiah 64:6 ) until He sought to toss her into the very Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:15).

It's amazing. Someone cooks up a book with "Gospel" in its title so it's a Gospel?

The longwinded tome attributed to Aleister Crowley (satanist), Liber DCCCLXXXVIII also claims to be a gospel but Crowley advocates "sex magick" with scarlet women, consumption of bodily fluids, application of idiotic symbols to resolve life's little challenges, heroin addiction and orgiastic intoxication more generally. We rightly reject him as a windbag.

But he did produce "gospels" and "books-of-the-Law" as a satanic devotion. Along with mountains of other garbage. I mean if someone wants to suck toadstools and go into a frenzy why on earth do they need to claim it's anything more than toadstool sucking? And the answer is pretty simple: they have a personality disorder.

Crowley, together with this latest nonsense, produces a cynical effort to exploit such weaknesses with the unfortunate result of driving disordered individuals on into full blown insanity. Relying on false hopes—and selecting sonnets of drivel at random is no better than casting the i ching—achieves nothing that simply waiting for events to unfold that would eventuate anyway and selecting those which seem beneficial as confirmation of one's delusion.

That's why it's called a confirmation bias.

The Bible teaches that Jesus is The Answer.

There are many wonderful testimonies to how He fulfils His promise. Sometimes He says "No," but in Jesus’ case He knows what we need even before we ask and He always provides what we need. Not what we think we need.

Well, it's not my place to judge her, but just looking at the facts, there's nothing in the Holy Bible I can recall that mentions her having been Born Again. And it's not like a teenaged whore getting pregnant out of wedlock is a path to Salvation. Goodness, if it were, the population of Mississippi teenaged unwed mothers would require a whole floor of Heaven!
