Archbishop of Canterbury claims God is not male!

Wacky Justin Welby has declared that God is not male.

Almost every verse in the KJV asserts his Maleness. Just to pick a few.

    Exodus 8:27
    Exodus 15:3
    Deuteronomy 26:17

Adam (male) was made in God's image, whereas Eve (female) was derived from Adam.

And how could Wacky Justin ignore the birth of Baby Jesus? Can't see how that could happen if God was anything but Male. Both the Bible and even secular science agree on that.

    Phil
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bringk upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

    Deuteronomy 28: 58- 61

Re: Archbishop of Canterbury claims God is not male!

I despise fake news. GOD IS MALE. No matter what the archbishop says, Brother Phil, you and I know full well that anything that has happened throughout creation to improve the condition of God's World has been brought about by males.

I LOVE the male gender. We have such exciting attributes. Our broad, hairy chests, our muscles, our ability to do math, change our own oil, read the Bible with full understanding, build a deck, find the cause for most any malady. We are strong. We are invincible.

One can almost understand the propensity toward homerism, don't you agree, Phil? Of course, the Lord blessed me with a love for the gaywise - as we all know, so I won't go into it here.

No woman could have created the world. No woman could have made the firmament. No woman could have endured the pain that Jesus did on the cross. Name me ONE pain that women have that a man couldn't endure thrice over. You can't. Why? There isn't one.

Let's celebrate our manliness, Brother Phil. In fact, when Brother Jim comes by, why don't you join him?

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
    Amen and Amen

Re: Archbishop of Canterbury claims God is not male!

I hope you’ll excuse my Pa’s bluntness with the way he described Adam and Eve to me when I was about 6 or 7. God put all of his energy into creating Adam. When Adam wanted a counterpart to him God uses the leftovers and what resulted was Eve. Eve was also the reason Adam was pressured into eating the apple. It could be said with this story time version that most of the problems in the world are the women’s fault and it’s up to men and God to fix them.
My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

The Church of England is bat-shit - this is the sort of thing the Jesuits would say.

"Speaking to the church's vicar, the Rev Dr Sam Wells, the Archbishop said: 'It is extraordinarily important as Christians that we remember that the definitive revelation of who God is was not in words, but in the word of God who we call Jesus Christ."

What in damnation is that supposed to mean? "God does not speak in Words or that Jesus did not speak in "words"?" Is it even American?

        Mumbo-jumbo!

The "Most Reverend Justin Welby" may indeed be a wimp, but the article eventually gets around to exposing the real problem here - the CoE appointing women bishops (definitely against the Law of God - 1 Timothy 2:12, 1 Corinthians 14:34 and the King James Bible).

          . . . .

The debate in the Church of England over the gender of God was reignited recently when its first female diocesan bishop, the Rt Rev Rachel Treweek, said ministers should avoid referring to God in exclusively male terms and be 'mindful of our language'.

'I don't want young girls or young boys to hear us constantly refer to God as he,' she said.

The Most Reverend Justin Welby said descriptions of God were 'to some degree metaphorical' and that His characterisation as 'Father' could not be understood in exactly the same way as an earthly father.
