What I mean is, when writers write written stuff like books they have people called Editors who type and correct their words like movies and tv shows have editors who paste all the good bits together and add effects

If I read Chris Rocks letters I could say about his writing and punctuation but all books are mostly done by the people who sell them the publishing "team" house

You're the one who mentioned Chris Rock's books or lack thereof, not me. If you don't think they're relevant, why did you bring the subject up?

Now, since we're on the topic of books, why don't you try reading the Bible?

I'm going to try the bible in a year thing cuz breaking it down in to small chunks will be easier to digest because its almost like it has to be translated as you go. It was written a long time ago and our lives are different now, and you should leave room to try to apply it to how it could be saying we're supposed to live today. Because face it, we don't live in tents in the dessert any more and I think shellfish has been deemed okay, right....or why not? Are Christians against lobster? Maybe I'm mixing that up. And I see Christian women wearing pearls and "costly" aray and it doesn't look like that's such a booboo now...and doesn't it talk about a railing around roofs? Where did those go?

I cannot see this please expand

I'm a Bible believing born again Christian myself, and i don't know why i got this label. "Under Investigation" is understandable, but outright calling someone who's new here "Unsaved Trash" is entirely another. it's understandable for those who are indeed unsaved, but those who are born again by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, it's just offensive.

Excellent. There's hope for you yet.

No problem Biblically if you live in something more substantial.

and I think shellfish has been deemed okay, right....or why not? Are Christians against lobster?
Christians can eat lobster. There are no more dietary restrictions, Jesus removed those.

I see Christian women wearing pearls and "costly" aray and it doesn't look like that's such a booboo now...
            It's still a boo-boo.

and doesn't it talk about a railing around roofs? Where did those go?
I'm not aware of the Bible either requiring or prohibiting roof railings.

I think its: "When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence"

              23, 2 Deuteronomy

              battlement = railing

So what's the answer to this? Is it covered in the Bible in a year business?

Ah, Deuteronomy 22:8. I didn't realize you were talking about battlements, I thought you meant just railings. The Section 22(h) of the Freehold Building Code mandates that a solid battlement must circumscribe the roof of every single-family dwelling, and all houses that I'm aware of here have them. Railings aren't sufficiently sturdy, so they are not permissible under the code (Section 22(h)(2)).

I can't speak for what non-Christians do with their houses. The unsaved commit a lot of sins of which I do not approve. A LOT of sins.

I don't remember whether Brother V covered this verse in Bible in a Year, but it's well worth going there to find out. He certainly did a powerful exegesis of Deuteronomy.

K, thanks for clearing that up. I'm trying to type s l o w e r and not make typos I hope everyone is noticing! I've noticed the last thing someone wants to do here is make you guys mad LOL

But the battlement stuff goes back to how the translation-interpetation of the Bible is important. Like some people (like me) think of battlements as railings. So sometimes its in the eye of the beholder and I still don't know why God told you to have battlements/railings on your roofs but maybe that thread link will help thank you I have also noticed some of your members are wearing pearl jewelry in their pictures but it's up to you do deal with that because I'm not a baptist

Why do you stick to this hobby that at most will last for 70 or so years when you will burn in hell for eternity because of it. No hobby is worth that. You're making the same stupid mistake that Eve made in the beginning. Rebelling against God will never ever ever turn out in your favor. It's like not breathing because you don't think oxygen is good enough for you.

Wow, Christians on this site really are dim.
Just because you read a book you truly believe that its content is real.
Here is a thaught, have you noticed how much infulance the book has on youths now days? Not much, most people in england under the age of 30 dont have a religion, as they are educated. You clearly are not.
I will not be replying to messages on this topic anymore as i have collected enough infomation to satasfy my curiosity.

Kid, we're trying to save you from eternal hellfire and brimstone and all you're doing is spitting in our faces. I don't believe anything. I know. Jesus talks to me daily and I talk back. I don't know a whole lot about science but I know that it proves Jesus exists. My pastor told me so. I don't care what the youth thinks. Just because they think Jesus doesn't exist just makes them stupid. It doesn't mean anything except that they have the wrong opinion and they're going to burn in hell forever. As for education, I've already read the only book I'll ever need. The Bible. I suggest you put down the communist manifesto and the feminine mystique and pick up the KJV 1611 Bible. Those other books won't matter much if you're quoting them in a lake of fire.
