So in other words, The Bible is true because the Bible says its true. Do you realize how this kind of logic doesnt work because its in circles? If this is the case why not believe in Jedis? All the Star Wars movies explicitly explain that these stories happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. What gives the Bible more merit than Harry Potter? Shouldnt a smart God provide more proof than a story book? Why cant he show himself? He seemed to do it constantly 2000 years ago. Is he on a break? Why the inquisition? Its almost like someone trying to sell you a car except your not allowed to test drive it. You just have to hope the car works.

Why would a God punish those who are concerned with minute details or formalisms in teaching? Why does he insist that questioning his motives is such an evil crime? How does God justify infinite torture with finite transgression? Because the people who wrote the Bible came up with a genious marketing scheme in order to enforce their own opinions on their current life style, and people stupid enough to believe it without question will by in to it out of fear in order to condition themselves into thinking that they will be in a better place after they die.

Look at history and how it repeats. Again and again a provable scientific claim is made and again and again the church disputes it and brands them a blasphemer, and again and again the church has had to yield and change its ways. Religious views are inconsistent hypocritical and illogical. Usually the ones who are labeled blasphemers end up being praised in the future as wise and truthful: Galileo, Copernicus, and even Jesus!

If the Bible holds truth why doesnt it explain condensation or evaporation? Arent these important? Why doesnt it tell us the earth is round? Why doesnt it tell us about gene mutation and how DNA works? Because the people who wrote the Bible didnt know it at the time, if they looked up to a higher power, the views the Bible holds wouldnt be so primitive.

Exodus 31:15 - "Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death."

I read an argument on this forums saying that if Christianity is so primitive why is the greatest country on earth 70-80% Christian? A good question, but do you think 70% of the American population would abide by the above verse?

Why do the heathens always look to fictions to explain their world view that God is not real? It's like they think Jedis and so on are not real so God is not real.

Nobody is claiming Jedis are real (even the most obsessed of the "Trekkies" don't claim that). It's a false dichotomy. I look at a real tree then say it can't be a real tree because over there is a fake plastic tree therefore all trees are plastic is the sort of logic. It doesn't make sense.

When you pick a man's pocket (like you atheists are known to do from time to time), you don't sin against the man. Not at all. In fact, he is supposed to just forgive you and offer you the shirt off his back. The one you sin against is God. Since God is infinitely perfect, sinning against Him entails infinite guilt and therefore infinite punishment. But if you don't assume God wrote the Bible, you would have no reason to believe this. It figures you would think that people should resist crime and be punished finitely. Since you hate God.
