I can't speak for every atheist but I don't feel life has to have a purpose or meaning just goals to accomplish.I want to be a doctor and save people. I want to travel the world and speak 20 languages. I want to listen to music and make it. I want to constantly expand my knowledge and get great tattoo's from my favorite artists. I want to learn to play 7 instruments and get even better at all the art forms I currently know. I want to make people laugh and make them happy. I don't feel sad I feel happy every time I accomplish something or help someone. How do I or atheists like me cause distress and scandal?

The two sentences left in black are in clear contradiction to reach other - how do you presume you'll make people laugh while telling them that they have a terminal cancer?

Also, out of curiosity, have you ever thought which 20 languages you plan to learn, or do you just shoot for a quantity and not what you want to do with them?

My goodness, kids these days really have no idea what they want in life.

fundamentalists are confusing an average person will notice the contradiction or other such flaws in their logic given a short while but fundamentalists it seems have such a warped sense of reality and their willingness to believe in something and follow it just for the sake of their own gain and other sentient being be damned is amazing. I mean no offense it's just I don't know people like that in real life so it's funny sad and fascinating all at once. though that last part is more of the psychology major pre-med in me.

You might as well ask if 6 ounces of a homeless bum's urine in a tall, cool drink of water on a hot day might cause distress to the person looking forward to a refreshing, well-earned drink! Even if there's a lot of clean water and you don't readily see the piss in the water, if you know it's there, you're not going to drink it! No sir! Many people come here with the hopes of shocking us. They tell us they are not religious, they do not believe the LORD looks on, they do not believe His commands are relevant. What they fail to recognize is that religion directs and controls our lives. It is not a question of whether people are religious, it is only a matter of which religion a person serves. This religious orientation is often not acknowledged in our day, yet God's creatures cannot escape this fundamental truth of their nature. They may worship false gods, or they may worship the true God, but they will worship someone or something. Someone's religion controls every group, organization, institution, society. do you truly believe it impossible to not worship? I certainly don't worship anything or anyone as I'm sure is true with many atheists. it's true that many people do in a sense or worship even without religion or celebrity culture wouldn't be such a big thing but there are those who prefer logic and the reality that people are imperfect.

I suppose I can see ( in some sick way) why someone would want to be a Joo, a blabbering Buddhist, or an idolatrous Cathylick. At least those systems allow for an explanation of a higher power, or what Man's purpose on this Earth is.

You have to do that, and you have to obey all His commands, to show your love for Him.

If you sin, it means you love your sin more than you love Jesus, and He will cast you into Hell.

I am an atheist and yet I have morals. I help everybody I am able to I am a vegetarian because a part of morals is that animals are fellow sentient beings that do not deserve to die for a part of meal that isn't even that healthy for me. morals aren't derived only from a religion. Also being of a sexual orientation is not a choice as a bisexual girl who plans on becoming a doctor and therefor has done the research into the theory's for how human sexuality works I would know.

Lol I never said that it all started 2001 my friend. My father was in desert storm in the 90's their was terrorism their. I know their was terrorism before 2001. During the French revolution reign of terror the jacobins were terrorist by using the guillotines to execute many people. Pastor please read this and you will that America is in no way a Christian nation. If you look up the Treaty Of Tripoli you will see that on November 4th 1796 that it was signed and was eventually effective June 10th 1797.
