They should all be called "John" and the hell with it.

They seem to easily pronounce our names, whats the problem with them?

        Who could disagree with that?

This seems to be one of their traits - copying things. Be it the way you speak or a cheap plastic lead-painted toy, they reproduce it in a way that is slightly substandard.

You can say that again. When my dry cleaner tries to pronounce my name, it comes out something like "Bilry Lrooban". It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to hear it said like that.

What bugs me is when I go to costco they always have these immigrant-robots who offer the free samples and they all say in the same strange voice, "would you like to try" and then they mumble whatever the item is because that's not part of the programming.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

One of my gardeners has a oriantal name too. It's something like nguyan or something. I asked him one day to pronounce it for me and he said it was pronounced "when." I was very relieved becuase I had spent all day asking him "when are you going to get your work done" and he could actually understand it.
