Allow me to quote to you one of the first Papal Letters, which happens to be found in the Bible:

2 Peter 3:8 (I used your KJV so you'd have to accept it):

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

So it probably wasn't 6 days of 24 hours.

First, Major Tom, if you read that verse in context, you will see that it is not about creation. Second, Genesis chapter 1 says that God created plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. Given your (mis)interpretation, those poor plants would have had to wait a thousand years for sunlight.

However, no one but a complete idiot could deny that there was significance in His choosing King James, who spoke English, as His vessel through which to channel His Perfect Words.

From History, we see that the immense pressure upon James led him astray and thus the Pilgrim Fathers, grateful for the exact Word of God, sailed with those very words to America, where the language of KJV established itself as the mother tongue.
